I would like to know how they justify thier prices. I have been a cacti & succulent collector for many years & thier prices on this last trip are the highest i have ever seen by far. $10 for their tiny potted cacti!! Then the next size up was $20. I could understand the prices if they were rare or unusual but most were common with just a couple different ones mixed in. I have shopped here for years but this latest trip was very disappointing.

After a long walk from the main street of Gawler I thought that I would stop in at Vadoulis for some scones and an ice coffee (I dont drink hot tea or hot coffee). I have heard wonderful things about this little cafe.
The staff are very friendly and greet you straight away, was a lttle hard to figure out where their menu was though. I decided to sit outside in their courtyard in the wicker furniture which is very comfortable I might add. I could almost fall asleep on the lounge.
My scones arrived and they didnt look very appealing. They look home made but they looked over done on the tops and bottoms. My first half wasn't too bad but after that they started to go hard and were very chewy which I was very disappointed about. The strawberry jam was beautiful but the cream was rather too sweet for my liking. My Iced Coffee was served and it was beautiful and nice and cold which is just what I needed after my long walk. It was unfortunate about the scones but the drink definitely made up for it

Approximate cost: $12.45

We had been looking for an outdoor setting but couldn't find what we wanted in our price range. By chance, we were in the nursery looking at pots and came across the ideal setting. The only one they had was on display. They would be getting more in but not for a 'little while'. To meet our needs, they offered a marginally reduced price on the display stock and would have it delivered the same day.
Their service exceeded expectations. We are naturally regular visitors

We have called in on many occasions to check out the plants and have always come away with more that we intended! They have such beautiful healthy plants and we don't mind paying a little more for nice plants. I bought an Orchid there about 12 years ago and it has never failed to flower each year. They have a licenced cafe if you are feeling a bit peckish.

I never use to go here until I got a catalogue from them & seen Blackberry bush for sale. As far as I knew you weren't allowed to have them. Apparently it's changed! I went there to have a look cos I was definitely interested in my own blackberries. They were so helpful explaining how big they get & if you can leave them in pots etc. Now I always drop in and have a look when Im looking for plants. Prices are actually pretty good as well. Just as good as bunnings and they are suppose to be cheaper.

Well known local nursery, garden supply and relevant gift line business. The proprietor and staff know their stuff and have the relevant experience to assist the novice. Great range of products available and good after sales service.

This is a great place to go, not just for plants but also for items that are a 'little bit different' OR a lovely place to meet your friends for a cappuccino.
I go to Vadoulis's because I know I will find what I am looking for and that if I have any questions I will be met with a happy to help attitude and correct information. Always an enjoyable experience with friendly staff and a lot to see. The range of plants are very good as well as other garden items such as ponds, Bar B Q's, out door settings, statues, fountains etc.. I love it there. Especially the area my daughter and I refer to as the 'secret garden'... and she is 17! It's very pretty. Go and see for yourself, you won't regret it.
