Coffee was bitter from being burnt. The blueberry cheesecake was nice (but probably a mass produced cake). I liked the corn fritters with poached eggs and rocket - especially when the yolk waterfalls down the fritter. Very tasty. Not a fan of the breakfast quesadilla, all I could taste was bacon and relish/sauce.

Service was quick and water was brought to us with the menus - got to love any place that bring you water without having to ask!

I come here for coffee, but I stay for the atmosphere. I rarely get the chance to come around for breakfast, but I love it when I do.

The staff look happy to be there and the mocha is divine. What more could you want?

The only thing I hate is that it isn't close enough to my area! Keep up the good work guys.

Approximate cost: $9

Verb Cafe is right around the corner from the Newmarket Train Station. I have only been here for breakfast but I can vouch for the breakfast menu. It is inventive and delicious. I'll be back.

I mostly have breakfast here and it has always been good. The area for the kids is great and very much appreciated. It gives me a chance to have a coffee and something yummy to eat. A great place to sit on your own or have a coffee with friends.

Approximate cost: $15

We had breakfast here last week and the service, food and coffee were exceptional. The menu had so much choice and everything was very gourmet and the dishes were very affordable. The servings were perfect and the food was very tasty. Great value for money! I highly recommend this place; i know i will be back this weekend for sure!!

Great to see service with a smile. Coffee was excellent (Atomica!) and breakfast just as incredible. Try the baked eggs! Cosy place where you can open up a book and chill out to some funky music.

Approximate cost: $12.50

What makes this cafe uniques is that it doubles as a second hand bookshop! While you are enjoying your coffee and cake you can also peruse a book from one of the bookshelves that line the walls. Even the menus are created from old books.
