I bought a online voucher for a dinner for two here. The food was fantastic. We had two champagne cocktails and a tapas plate. The food is inventive, looks stunning and was delicious.
Then came the dessert plate, the double chocolate slice was to die for, my partner and I fought for the last piece.
A great place for a few drinks and nibbles or a date night.
We used Starlight Painting to paint the entire interior of our house before we moved in. Although it was a busy time they fitted us in at short notice. David and his team were are conscientious and hardworking and we're very happy with the results. My only complaint is that they painted over some of locks on the sash windows making a little hard to lock them.
David is also a general handyman/tiler/carpenter and we have since used him to fix the shower.
I would definitely recommend them.
Great location, overlooking the beautiful Maribyrnong River, unfortunately as others have mentioned the service is not great. They seem to act as if your orders are an imposition.
I went with a group of friends for my birthday recently. We just asked the owner to bring whatever food she thought we'd like and we DID like it.
The service was fantastic, the food fantastic, every dish had a unique flavour and it came to $20 a head including beers.
I recommend with a capital R! Will be back often.

This website rocks! I recently moved to Melbourne and have used it often to find (and find out what real people think of) hairdressers, doctors, cat door installers, restaurants, dentists, etc etc

During the summer I was going to barefoot bowls every Tuesday night. It's a great night, and excellent value. For $15 you get 2 games, bbq dinner and a drink. They usually have a dj playing some old school tracks outside by the rink.
My only criticism is that some nights they were not very organised and we didn't get started that quickly, which made for a long night.

A friend of mine and I stayed in a Superior room on our overnight trip to see the penguins. It was a good sized room to share. The decor is bit dated, like many small Australian towns pale peach, dark green and exposed brick seem to be the main design elements.
The room is well fitted out. I would love to come and stay here in summer and take advantage of the pool. They even have movies showing here! The mangers are super friendly and helpful.

I love wandering around Young's Auctions. They have everything imaginable- from furniture, crockery, furniture, jewellery appliances and more furniture. The staff are very helpful, I have rung up a number of times looking for a king sized bed, and they helped us with phone bidding a couple of times.
I will be visiting often as we plan to redecorate a house early next year and you can get near new furniture for a fraction of the cost as well as antiques.
Resource Ed is one of the largest relief teaching agencies in Melbourne. Their systems and staff are very professional. You get your own webpage to manage what days you are available to work. I got as much work as I wanted and since then have been offered 2 term contracts at a school I was posted to.
The offer a lot of Professional development and training. It costs 70 to join up, some other agencies are free, but that is a one off fee. I have no qualms about recommending their services.

They have done a beautiful restoration on this large heritage building. The decor inside is eclectic and stylish. The Moroccan lamps are stunning. It's nice to sit outside and have a wine on a sunny day.
On the downside I found some of the staff to be arrogant and unfriendly and the atmosphere is a bit rowdy.
