Prices are crazy expensive but this is SUCH a fun and exciting way to mix-up going to the movies! Definitely worth a special treat. You have a recliner chair and a button t press when you want to call in the service staff. They can bring you food/drinks at anytime throughout the movie and there aren't as many people in the cinema, it's very fancy :)

Love this style of watching movies..its relaxing comfortable and overall enjoyable. You can have a pillow and blanket if you need one. The staff arrive almost instantly at the press of a button and you can order food and drinks to be served all at once or to be brought out at different intervals during the movie. Great fun

I absolutely love coming here! So nice to enjoy a movie in comfortable seating, being served by professional, friendly staff, and even ordering a meal if you wish. Whilst the food isn't one of the greatest, it is perfect for a movie night, and does limited vegetarian offers. There is a button by your seat you are able to press, which sends a staff member to you almost instantly. Delicious cocktails. If you have the money, perfect for a date, and without the usual kids and bogans in the normal cinema.

Nothing better than a trip to Gold Class Village Cinema! The seats are so lush, they incline and youare allowed to ask for a blanket!
Before you go in your seated in a large fancy lounge area and look at the menu's. You are allowed to order your food and drinks and state what time or how far into the movie you would like them delivered!
Always great servicec and you feel like you've had such a pampering day out it's wonderful!
BEST gift idea too!!!

We received a gift voucher for this place from a friend, otherwise we probably wouldn't have been able to afford to go.
The restaurant atmosphere was really nice, and the staff were friendly and very professional. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed watching a film in those comfortable recliners, with wine, beer and snacks. Very relaxing!
The only thing is, I probably wouldn't go back because it is SO expensive ($17 for a hot dog). The tickets alone are $39, and a concession is not available, which was disappointing.

The only time I ever tried to go to Gold Class I rang to pre book tickets and the girl was really rude, then tried to charge me an extra $5 per person to pay by credit card over the phone even though it was one transaction! I didn't book in the end because that's just ridiculously exorbitant.

Its hard to know how to rate this business. Whats not to like about movies watched in a recliner chair complete with wine & food. More that you would think unfortunately. Since this opened it has changed considerably from a top notch experience (aside being pricey) to a pretty poor one. Lets start with the ticket price. Depending on the day/time if you buy at the counter - the cheapest ticket you will get is $23 and it ranges up to $35. Thats assuming you don't want to book on-line at another $5 a ticket. Not cheap, but some would say justifiable if the experience was worth it. Unfortunately its not. The food on offer is poor value, and is essentially highly overpriced cafe food. At the moment the deserts are terrible - not one on the menu seems to be worth its price. I even gave up on the desserts for a choc top, but even that was half melted! At $45 for three courses, or $17 for 5 "spring rolls" and a bit of dipping sauce your wallet will feel the pain. The wine list is fine, although someone should teach them how to pour to the line, very miserly serving. Overall the place is starting to lack its polish. You used to be greeted at the door, now you are lucky if a staff member makes time for you. I am not sure why, but the cinema itself now seems to have noisier patrons, particularly if its a group in the back row. I suspect its the patrons responding to the overall feel of the place. I so wish this place would pull its socks up. Bring back the churros, and the menu specials. Vaccuum the cinema in between the screenings, and consider putting in toilets within the GC area. I would still go, but its now situational. Go on a Monday, make sure you are a member of their movie club, and you will get a free martini. And stick to the drinks! For shame!

Approximate cost: $40-100
