Not bad for a morning coffee.
Prices are reasonable and staff are happy enough.
With so many other choices though, it's hard to see how they differentiate themselves and that's where they have lost points.
But in no way is that saying they are bad

Nice and well lit. Clean and moderately comfortable.
Good stop for coffee, but with so many other choices available, there are enough people to have favourites. This is the favourite for a lot of people the day I went.

While in the city I stopped here for a coffee fix. Very nice coffee and a good spot to rest the legs. Revived me to continue on with my shopping. Friendly, quick and clean. Some food available here too but did not take much notice - it was coffee and a seat I was looking for

While in Adelaide I had a quick coffee in this specialist coffee shop. Many different coffee beans and choices can be made here in this very modern cafe. Just had my normal cappucino.
Black and chrome and minilist decor. The coffee was good and the items to eat also looked interesting.

Viva Espresso is a small coffee shop on Pirie St in the Adelaide central business district. Its specialty is cones of chips (aka frittes or french fries) which I have sampled on a number of occasions. They also have a small selection of sandwiches and other meals. The coffee shop has a coffee bean roasting machine in the corner which gives the shop a nice ambiance and aroma.

The Hot Chocolate is presented well. It comes with a pink marshmallow and a white marshmallow in a smallish ceramic cup. The froth is good with a chocolate stripe over the froth. The chocolate is rich but not bitter. The cost was only $3.20 but mugs of hot chocolate were also available. I would be happy to have this standard hot chocolate every lunchtime.

The pink and white marshmallows seem to be somewhat of a standard in Adelaide coffee shops. I have a sweet tooth but I find it sufficient to dunk only the white marshmallow. The pink one is for the girls and my partner usually obliges by relieving me of this confectionery.

Viva is a little coffee shop that I work near. They make some of the yummiest drinks and serve some really great food. Especially the chips. They come in this cone with all different sauce flavours that you can choose from.
My problem with them however is the service. The girl who 95% of the time is at the register, I don't know her name she doesn't always wear a badge. My problem with her is that she always seems to screw the order up, charge your wrong or just take forever.
Example 1. I purchased a hot choc and chips. I said I would be sitting in the store but could I please have my drink in a take away cup. It took me a few minutes but I thought that I had got my point across. My food arrives and then my drink arrives, in a glass. I was annoyed but didn't say anything. 5 minutes later another drink arrives in a take away cup
Example 2. I ordered 2 hot beverages. I had the exact money but mainly in silver change. I counted the money out while I handed it to her. She then counted the money but ended up with with less. She then proceeded to count it twice more before she got it write.
While I love the place and their food, I am always less than impressed with the staff.
