Food and coffee are both great. Pretty reasonably priced given its location in trendy James St. Plenty of parking available on-site or across the road near the cinema.
Last I heard was that it was under new management but haven't been there since so unsure if it's better/worse these days as I haven't been there since January/February.

Went for lunch catch up bigger than expected group but staff were accommodating. Linguine was tasty - although we all suffered food envy when the pork belly came out! Good value for money - used Entertainment Book voucher which took that little bit extra off. Very happy :)

Vroom...restaurant where I caught up with my female friends for brunches at weekends, had lunches a few times in workweek and drinks with my colleagues after work.

For the fact I have visited the restaurant endless times, I would like to highlight things that I would never forget about it.

My totally first impression that I am able to recall was "overpriced". Back then I did not realise Fortitude Valley / New Farm are placed on the top of most expensive suburbs in Brisbane. Brunches that I have had where well presented, fresh and very tasty. I have had savoury brunches such as scrambled eggs served with turkish bread, smoked salmon, mushrooms, asparagus etc. Very nice anytime I had any of the sort of brunch.

Friends and colleagues I have gone with here, liked the freshness of meals as much I did. I loved garlic prawns that were absolutely unbeatable. Pity, they took them out of menu that they renewed a few months ago. I even mentioned it to owner. He said they replaced the dish with salad of prawns that I have tried later on. It was nice but cannot beat the garlic prawns. I have tried also a feta-spinach pizza that disappointed me on the other hand. It did not have much topping as a result tasted more after dough than anything. Therefore, I have never had pizza there since...and do not even want to try my luck.

What I love is service. Staff is very friendly and acknowledges regular customers. As I work for company located nearby, our staff have been going there quite often. For that reason, I believe, I was a direct witness of very pleasant marketing strategy. Me and bunch of my colleagues got together for Friday drinks after hours. Majority of them were already seated. My colleague / friend and I joined them slightly later. While we were purchasing ginger beer from bar, I asked for a price of great looking muffins they had on counter. I believe it was Greg who served us at the time. He asked me if I like some and I responded "maybe"...but still insisted to know the price. He simply put one in front of me saying it was mine. I could not believe it and ensured by asking over again if he was serious. So I shared the muffin with one of my friend / colleague.
I still do not know the price of muffin but would think in range of $5-6. I enjoyed every bit of it though. It was not a muffin looking a bit greasy that you can buy in bakeries of grocery shop. It was a huge muffin and light. I tempted to buy one since then...or even try their gigantic doughnut but I am still resisting in success. Do not ask me how long for :-D

Vroom is definitely a place to enjoy food any time in a day. The only one thing I would not like to happen there again was a cockroach crawling where outdoor seating is. Yet, that is understandable because you would be VERY lucky if you did not see a cockroach in Brisbane at the night.

We recently visited for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed our meals! I had rack of lamb which was absolutely SUPERB!! The meat was melt in the mouth good! The service is always efficient and friendly and the menu is quite diverse with plenty to choose from.

They do cocktails at Vroom as well as offering some pretty decent wines and a good range of beers.

Dessert looked tempting but I was so full that I just had a hot chocolate instead. Divine!!

Parking can be a bit of a hassle at busy times of the day, especially when the retailers are open for trade. But don't let that put you off; Vroom offers excellent value, quality food, friendly service and comfortable seating.

Had lunch with my sister at Vroom today and it was a real treat! Despite the wet weather we were warmed by outdoor heaters and sheltered by awnings. The service was friendly and prompt and the menu had a great selection.

I cannot praise the chef enough for cooking my eye fillet to perfection, it was tender, juicy and adequately sized. The real icing on the cake however was the glorious jumbo sized cinnamon doughnut I had for dessert with vanilla ice cream.

I left feeling very full indeed and would recommend others to Vroom on in for a rainy day lunch aswell....though I am tempted to try their tantalising breakfast menu next time.

Approximate cost: $25

I'd been to Vroom quite a few times in the past but had somehow moved on. My most recent visit was due to a deals voucher and I hoped it wouldn't taint our experience. It certainly didn't! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding. In particular, Greg, the owner was attentive, friendly and warm.

Seating is available inside or outside and as it was winter, there were plenty of gas heaters keeping everyone warm. The creme brulee was to die for and the citrus donut was amazing! We also had eye fillet each and neither of us was disappointed.

Parking can be an issue but fortunately for us, we were able to park right outside. Still, don't let parking put you off. Take the time to find a (legal) spot and enjoy the Vroom experience. It's friendly, the food is great and there are no negatives. We'll definitely be back for the Eggs Benedict one weekend!

Hmmmmm, this one is difficult, first time was great, second and last time, was bad, Sunday mornings and I think the staff were more laid back than us, 45 minutes to come any where near us, on the positive side yes guys a lot of room for improvement

Approximate cost: $18

OMG, don't know what has happened, but a friend told me things had changed at Vroom, so gave them another go, well they have changed, it was great, quick service, really good food, in all a great experience.
