Probably one of the most amazing dining experiences you'll ever enjoy. I can fully recommend the 10 course with matching wines. Set yourself up for an afternoon of food, wine and good times. Watch the sun slowly set with some cheese and a nice sticky wine.

Now this is not the kind of restaurant that will keep your wallet full. Food is really nice at a great price but you will not be disappointed!

Over the past 20 years I had about 20-25 fine dining experiences that fall into the list of quite famous and expensive restaurants: about 10 in Australia, one in Asia and the rest in Europe. Usually, I get some amazing food and pay amazing prices but am happy with that. Vue de Monde has been, without the shadow of a doubt, the worst food experience I have ever had at any of these "so called" amazing restaurants. The service was not bad but nothing great either and obviously the prices were expensive but this does not factor in my review because it is expected and typical of such restaurants. What surprised me most at Vue de Monde was the food. It simply does not rate highly in any way except the quality of the ingredients but again, it is the least you would expect from such a place. I did not see a lot of imagination or creativeness both in terms of the presentation or the mix of food; I'd rate that aspect as "average" for such a place. For me, and I cannot stress this enough, the most important aspect is how well the food excites my taste buds. Unfortunately, in this case, at this level of the game, that excitement was pretty close to zero, which was extremely disappointing. Fortunately, there are many, many, restaurants in Melbourne, not even ranked very highly, that have provided me with much more enjoyable food.

You really do get what you pay for. I was here for valentines day and the place, staff and food didn't disappoint. My girlfriend also hired the place out for her wedding reception and it was also divine. Highly recommend

I had a 6 course degustation here and was surprised to find that I enjoyed every single meal. The chefs here really are masters, the food was very refined and well presented, top quality and perfectly cooked accompanied with matching wines creating a fantastic experience. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the view was amazing. I would easily place this in the category of the best of the best restaurants I have ever dined at. It is a little pricey but you get the quality you pay for.

Food never disappoints. I really enjoyed the variety of A la carte menu. Entree was Duck with Gascony salad which was perfect. Main course was Flinders Island Lamb, olive, Australian anchovies, mustard. This was also cook to perfection and melt into my mouth. The chocolate souffle was way too good. The atmosphere is relaxed and the drinks are at reasonable price. perfect in every possible ways. The services provided by staff was great. A bit overpriced $150 per person for 4 course.

We heard a lot about this restaurant through our friends and thought we check it out. I must say the food was amazing! we tried a number of dishes and they did not disappoint. Service was good too as the waiters were friendly but i would say the meals were pricey, so we would be coming on a regular basis, however for special occasions we will definitely return.

This was one of the worse experiences my husband and I have ever had.My husband spent the night in the bathroom very sick. When I rang to let the staff know they did not want to know about it. I would not recomend this restaurant to any one.

Approximate cost: $60.00

Thats not good to hear about being ill after having a meal there! Many womo members have said good things about this restaurant, its a shame that you and your husband had a bad experience, which does happen!

Not good service by the staff not being interested when you rang to tell them of being sick, perhaps worth while sending a letter/email to the restaurant so the owner(s) can at least address your issues?

We were luck enough to be treated to a dinner at Vue de monde. It would definatley have to be the best restaurant In Melbourne we have been to. They food and wine are amazing. They attention to detail in the food presentation is 10/10. The staff are exceptional. Could not think of one negative thing to say about this place. Would be nice if everyone got to go here atleast once.

Approximate cost: $60
