Service

Although my car couldn’t be saved :( the service and willingness to help was very impressive.
I had not been to Walkers before, but Ricky accepted the car as a tow in and put it at top of list for a speedy diagnosis. Warm, friendly and down to earth service, definitely had a sense that are a good, honest and knowledgeable team. Thanks again. Marg B

I left my car with them with a faulty electric window and also asked them to check an engine rattle noise when accelerating hard. They called me back the same day and advised they can source out a second hand window motor for $380 (part only). Regarding the engine noise they told me it's the CAT converter and replacement is going to be $480 (including part+labor) So far the impression of them was professional so I agreed with the quote. The next day it was ready and I paid $1200 for the job. I got in the car and noticed immediately that the electric window is not working properly as sometimes it works sometimes it's stuck in its position. Then I took the car for a spin around the block to check the noise and the engine rattle noise was still there. So I took it back and told them that none of the problems been fixed and that I feel I was ripped off. They should have admitted that the job wasn't done properly. Instead of that we got into an argument which was very uncomfortable for both of us. After that we agreed that the car stays with them and they will look into the problems. I was told they might charge additional costs for the job which is a terrible way to treat a customer. Why would they charge further costs for an unfinished job? I realised that I had no other choice to change my attitude and play along. Next morning I showed up and told them to weld back the old CAT converter, put back the faulty window motor and give me back my money and let's forget each other. I was then told there's no point of ripping out parts and they will fix the problems without no further costs. The car was ready the same day and the electric windowed worked perfectly. Regarding the engine noise they admitted it wasn't the CAT converter but they couldn't find out what it was. Then we shook hands and said goodbye. So in the end of the day the engine rattle sound remained unsolved and I wasted $480 for an unnecessary part. Apart from the unsolved problem and wasted money it was a frustrating and emotionally draining experience so my advice is to avoid them.

Walkers provide excellent customer service. They were friendly, provided same day service and gave me the right information. I was charged half what I was quoted somewhere else - thank goodness I sought a second opinion from Bruce. I will definitely be going back there.
