Very poor watch repair service by Wallace Bishop:
Repair center in Brisbane took five months to change a battery and make minor repair to a Baume & Mercier watch (part had to come from Switzerland / Covid!), finally retuned with minute and hour hands out of synch and calendar setting inoperable.

Jewellery is terrible quality. Totally overpriced rubbish. Had a bracelet break within 2 days without any harsh conditions. Do not waste your money here, mass cheaply produced rubbish

I experienced exceptional service from Prue at the Charlestown Wallace Bishop store. She kept an emerald and diamond ring aside for me for, until I could get to the store in person to actually see it, as I live in Sydney. Prue is professional, knowledgeable and friendly and I felt confident with making this purchase. Prue is a credit to the store. The ring also comes with a 12 month guarantee! I would recommend Wallace Bishop Jewellers and Prue, as she will help you find the right piece of jewellery that suits you. I now have a beautiful emerald and diamond ring that feels as if it has always been at home on my finger.

In April 2017 I purchased a watch from Wallace Bishop Carindale. I paid around $600Aud. it was a divers watch with day date. The day , date is extremely important to me. On the 5th February 2018 I traveled to Italy for holidays and as soon as I had arrived, the day date stopped working on the watch. When you are on holidays you can lose track of the days and also there are planes and trains to catch, so it was a major inconvenience. When I got home on or around the 28th February 2018 I took the watch back to Wallace Bishop. I said to them this is a major fault and under the consumer act I want a refund or a new replacement. They said they would have to send it back to Seiko. They said it would only take about a week to get back to me. I was extremely annoyed by their off hand attitude and said "I'm getting pissed off with the way your treating me" With that the manager said "you swore I'm getting security to remove you". I just walked out. I rang Head Office and complained, told the woman what happened and asked her to look into it and get back to me by email. I also asked who was the person in charge and this woman initially refused to give me a name, finally she gave me the name of the person in charge who she said was the Chief officer. She didn't bother updating me with an email. I have rung just about every day for the 3 weeks asking for the person in charge and I keep on getting excuses like "he's not in, he's not at his desk, he's on a conference call" By the end of this week it will be going in its 5th week and no one has got back to me. I have no watch or any refund. I'm of the opinion that they think that the "Australian Consumer Law" does not apply to them! "Caveat Emptor"

Your employee [redacted name] at the Dubbo store in has absolutely terrible customer service skills. I've found the way she has spoken to me on several occasions has been absolutely appalling. I have spent thousands of dollars on my engagement and wedding ring at this store and I deeply regret it. I will never shop here again.

Our near new expensive engagement ring was lost/ switched by Wallace Bishop (Canelands Mackay store) after it was sent away for rhodium plating to make it perfect for our up coming wedding. The ring was returned from Wallace Bishop the first time with a loose stone and defects to the ring despite being near perfect before being sent away. It was then sent back for repairs by the canelands manager. The ring was then returned a second time to be repaired. After finally receiving our ring back we discovered it was actually someone else's engagement ring that was given to us. Wallace Bishop Canelands store initially denied the ring wasn't ours until photo documentation was presented to them. It's obvious that this company isn't carrying out any checks and balances on the rings returned to customers. Our ring was sent to a couple in Brisbane and was finally located and returned weeks later numerous calls, arguments and calls to the state manager. The lack of professionalism, care factor and the lies we were told during this time was some of the worst customer service I have experienced for some time. Guys if you don't want your fiancee in tears I would avoid shopping at this store and girls please check your rings as you may not even get your own ring back! What price do you put on having your future bride in tears without "her ring" on her wedding day and 3 trips to Wallace bishop the day before the wedding. You expect better service when you spend so much Thank you for ruining the memories associated with her engagement ring. If we could rate the store worse than terrible we would have. I will update if this gets resolved...

I had a great experience at the Wallace Bishop and usually don't write reviews but was just so pleased with the customer service I received that I had too. I feel very comfortable knowing that I have purchased high quality product from a proudly Australian owned & run family company. Will not be shopping anywhere else from now on.
