The consensus of all the attendees at my dad's funeral at Whitehaven was that it's a beautiful venue but there was scant food at the wake compared to most funerals, despite the relatively high cost & the fact we'd catered for 100 guests and less than 60 stayed for refreshments. Most people only ate 2 morsels. Plus, there's no bar so it was not easy to get a drink. Disappointing

Attended a wedding here and was impressed with everything from the venue facilities to menu. Gardens were exquisite and I look forward to seeing the beautiful photos taken around the place. Food was to die for. Whilst waiting to go into the dining room, delicious fesh canapés were served. The 3 course meals served were top class quality, although the soups did need a bit more flavour. Whether you were served the lamb fillet or chicken fillet, it did not disappoint in quality, flavour and size. If it were a restaurant, we'd be back again and again.
