I was quite excited when this place originally opened as it had been quite the cursed corner cafe location for quite some time. Over the years it has attracted quite a loyal following from locals, workers and hospital employees alike. For the life of me I can't gather why!

The place is always packed so you can rarely get a table and if you do the service is really not that amazing, it is "adequate". The price of coffee is a bit steep and apart from a few moderately priced pastries I've not really eaten here.

The last time I came in at 11am searching for an early lunch before I was to start work at 12pm I was abruptly informed that the kitchen was closed until lunch time. When I inquired if I could have some fruit toast of something off the breakfast menu they said breakfast was over and would need to wait.

Since my workplace got a Nespresso machine I see no need to come here: no food when you want it, average and overpriced coffee and basic service with the occasional scowl. The decor is nice and the couch is quite comfy thats if you are desperate enough to order takeaway coffee.

i like wild poppy once in a while but better when it is not overcrowded. food, service and prices are ok

I love the coffee here and the home made pastries are delicious, however the atmosphere can be a little too relaxed and casual as far as service goes. One day a staff member sat next to me on the couch and had his lunch break when it was quite busy and there were messy tables around me. I like Wild Poppy but I think it has room for improvement.

I have only had coffees here, but it rates among the best in Fremantle. Everyone is friendly too, and the decor is quite cool - very individual. It has recently changed hands (was called Spoonz before)
