A few weeks ago, my friend and I decided to try The Wonton House as its famous for varieties of congee (porridge)
I was not in a mood for noodles but decided to also order its Xiao Long Bao (6 in a steam basket)
The congee was no doubt great, smooth and creamy with fish fillets.
The Xiao Long Bao was a bit of a let down. The pasty that wraps the meat was too thick and there was no juice when you bite into it.
Other than that, it was great. Portion was big too.

Approximate cost: $10.00

Because the name is wonton house, I went in expecting super tasty wonton soup but was pretty disappointed. The wontons were just OK-there's not much meat filling. And the broth was actually quite bland.

Decent quality food, but nothing fantastic. Dumplings were reasonable, but I have had better ones on Swanston Street. Decently priced though, so may well be worth checking out at least once.

Approximate cost: $15
