During covid my cat was taken from the carpark into the vet by staff as owners were band at that point. I was then told the cat would need sedation before she could be examined as she was resisting. I did not agree to this as it seems to me to be something any vet should be able to do without sedation and my cat was tame and not at all vicious on any other occasion. And so the cat was not examined. Nevertheless I was given a bill for $75 for 'consultation and examination' - ie" which had not been provided.
I then took the cat that afternoon to another vet and they were able to examine her ears, eyes, abdomen etc with no problem and certainly no sedation.
I won't be going back.

We use the Woodend Vet Clinic for when our domestic animals need veterinary assistance and the clinic staff do an expected reasonable job.
After hours EMERGENCY CARE- disgraceful.
We called the Clinic's after hours mobile number on Saturday 16/12/17 at 2:00 pm with an emergency as our best female alpaca was having difficulty with birthing.
NO CALL BACK FROM THE WOODEND VET ON SATURDAY.
We called a resident Vet from the Practice, who works at the Clinic as we had her direct mobile. She was lovely but could not assist us and said someone will call you back.
We called the Woodend Vet Clinic again on Sunday 17/12/17 at 9:00 am as our Alpaca was worsening rapidly.
NO CALL BACK ON SUNDAY.
We called the Clinic on Monday 18/12/17 at 9:30 am only to be told that the Clinic was aware of the issue which was relayed to them by the resident Vet we spoke to on Saturday.
I asked why didn't they call back over the weekend only to be told by the Clinic, that it must have been an issue with their phones! I heard their voicemail on their emergency mobile number, so there was nothing wrong with their phone systems. I never received an apology for the issue just a poor and unbelievable explanation of their phone transfer issues.
Today, Monday 18/12/17, our beautiful (and most expensive) female alpaca died and of course, the Cria inside her died as well.
We have paid the Clinic over $1,500 in the past 6 months for other animal services.
On Monday 18/12/17 whilst our female alpaca was still alive I called an alternate Vet as another alpaca breeder highly recommended them. They were very empathetic to our situation and were sending a vet over IMMEDIATELY. As our girls died whilst Vet was on their way, we had to call back and cancel the visitation.
We will not be using the Woodend Vet for anything other than our domestic animals.
We are extremely disappointed and upset by the lack of local professional animal care provided by the Woodend Vet Clinic.
