Located at the mansion formerly known as Jaques Reymond, Woodland House delivers a new and innovative approach to fine dining. We visited using our entertainment book discount, making it more affordable for us. However, it is definitely a restaurant most couldn't afford. There is seating both inside and out, with the courtyard a lovely feature. We tried the vegetarian and meat menu when we attended to see the difference. Both were incredible. My husband loved the wallaby.

A really beautiful experience from the moment you arrive. Housed in a classic Victorian house with contemporary interior & period features, it exudes warmth and character. Woodland House far exceeded our expectations.
The degustation was impeccable with the highlight being the Master kobe beef. The whole menu was an absolute delight.
They occupy the same site as the old Jacques Reymond. The menu is just as good. The style is traditional, yet modern, served in a manner that speaks of delicacy and precision.
For example, the cured salmon is presented as a whole piece, plump and rich in natural colour, with a crème fraiche & smoked eel foam. The King George Whiting was served on a bed of squid ink pasta with wild pine mushrooms cooked in a seaweed butter. The flavours were bold yet delicate, the black/white contrast beautiful on the eye.
Service here is lovely. It is first class waiter service, minus the pomp and showmanship. Just lovely people, who are attentive and discreet.
