The Woolworths in Racecourse Road is what you would expect from a Woolworths Metro outlet (more limited range than a bigger store). A nice touch is that they often have a table with reduced fruit and veg items.
However, the store is always freezing! Even in winter they have the air conditioning on full blast. I have talked to the staff about it thrice, to no avail.
On one occasion, as the customers stood shivering, I asked the cashier if she could please ask the manager to look into it, and she said "she was one of the managers" and that it was just because of the freezers being in a smaller space than the average store. Not a logical explanation at all - other small grocery stores do not have that problem.

had a sudden craving for hot chips last night and raced down to the store just as it was closing. the lovely girl on the checkout saw me pull up in my car and waited for me to run in and grab what I wanted before shutting down the till, deliberately keeping the store open an extra few minutes just for me. thats what i call good customer service.
