Woolworths

My elderly mother (90) was not able to go shopping because of a hand injury , I contacted the grocery shops in Toronto to see if any of them do deliveries, Well none of them deliver. I spoke to the assistant Manager Nigel of woollies in Toronto and after explaining my mums situation told me to have her contact him to see what they could do for her.
My mum called me the next day and told me that she contacted Nigel and gave him a list of the groceries he needed and he delivered them the next day personally , as as I live in a two story home he carried them up to my front door.
Nigel went beyond what a assistant managers duties are and on behalf of my mum and I, I want to thank him for all of his assistance .This is truly customer service that you only get in country areas. All i can say is support woollies stores in Toronto.

Hey it's Woolworths! How can you expect them to be 'fresh' or great value for money. This has been a good store over the years, as the staff, if you get to know them are friendly, helpful. I've had some bad batches of chicken pieces in the last few years so I mainly goto our local IGA. I also found the staff in the deli could be quite unfriendly, but they do work hard and are often asked to provide small amounts of products. Realistically, the supermarkets have destroyed delicatessans, and we can only blame them for the lack of variety/service.

i wanted a shaved deli meat that wasn't on display as shaved but was as sliced..staff refused to shave some for me

As a mum of a 15month old, I go shopping with a stroller and always have the nappy bag with me, because of going shopping with the stroller and nappy bag I am guilty until proved Innocent of steeling as soon as I go through those automatic double doors. Because of this, I rate the service as of low quality and even offensive. Every time I go in there the workers look at me like a suspect, the security guard even told my partner and I that everyone with a stroller is watched closely by CCTV from the moment they arrive in the store.

i don't shop anywhere else .woolworths is a happy place to shop. friendly and helpful staff. great prices. everything is easy to find in the isles. i love to shop at woolworths toronto.
