My wife has been recently treated by DR Mathew Lau regarding a knee pain issue. The Dr had provided her with a "Return to work certificate" with a few physical limitations outlined. Unfortunately her work organisation required their own 'Recover at work checklist and plan' filled in and signed by the doctor. Another appointment was made for this to be carried out. The doctor stated that he would charge $100 for him to tick the 8 boxes and sign the pre-printed form that her work had provided. There was NO physical assessment during this consultation, just eight boxes ticked and a signature, that took no longer than 3 minutes. Apparently it's up to the doctors discretion for this outrages charge. There is no bulk billing and no medicare rebate for this! The doctor was challenged with his outrages charge but remained firm that it would be the $100 dollar out of pocket .Paying for some sort of value for money is not an issue, but this is at the other end of the spectrum This money grabbing practise must be exposed!!!!
Can,t rest until it is !!! .
When most of us find it hard to make ends meet, this behaviour is hard to accept , particularly from a Bulk billing clinic...

The stars are for Mr Sendecki. Sadly he is booked 9-21 days in advance. I don't know what I'll do when he retires. He's due best doctor I've ever seen.

The last time i walked in and asked for Dr Shirley who only takes walk ins i was told i needed to book her and she wasn't available, but you can't book her......? This was at like 9.30 before the crowd too and I'm pretty sure she starts at 10am.

Go first thing as early as you can. It's bulk billed. Don't go to the dental department they are terrible.

Hope like hell your nurse is a middle aged Caucasian woman if getting blood work.

There's a lot under one roof but there are so many incompetent doctors and staff here. And the doctors do not care about their patients at all. The receptionists are some of the rudest people i ever met but I'm guessing they deal with some awfully rude patients.

Doctors consults last an average of 2-3 minutes.

Absolutely apalling. Would give zero stars if I could.
Don't even deserve 1 star - completely incompetent and rude staff on reception. Have had significant (1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hour) waits on 2 out of the last 3 visits because of faults with their booking system.
Can't get results of tests without a generally 2 hour wait. Chronically overbook even when they have only one doctor on - I don't care if the other doctors are off sick, they need to have a plan B or tell you up front they have a problem.
I can't believe in this day and age that "patient factories" like this can be allowed to operate in Australia.

The rudest staff at reception that I have come across. Really unhelpful and unfriendly. You should be able to speak to your doctor without the drama that they make it. It's almost like you aren't allowed to in case you dob on them. They are horrible.

I went here when i broke my finger at the knuckle, They saw me promptly, then got an exray in the same building yay!!. Then i went back to the doctor who consulted a specialist to just make sure they treatment he would do was appropriate as to not make my finger worse. Can not fault the medical staff for making a painful situation alot better

This place is great to go to when it's too late to book in with your normal doctor or if you don't want to go to the emergency room. There's plenty of seats and the docs I have seen have been excellent, know what there doing and explain things thoroughly.. Only negative thing is the waiting, I have had to wait upto 3 hrs +

one of the best medical centres i've had, light and airy space for waiting, with heaps of chairs and nice lighting, very calming and clean (nice receptionists, decent tv)

i absolutely love dr sam he's the absolute best, very friendly and considerate, and he knows his stuff too

location is close to the station so it's easy to get to, and it's open until late which is great

Its a bulk-bill clinic and there are no appointments, I like that. I'm generally a healthy person so don't need any special services but if I am required to see a doctor for work reasons I like that I can walk in and wait for a doctor. Generally it's only been a 15 min wait or so. Se doctors can be quite abrupt and or cold but I don't take it personally.

This became my doctors many years ago after paying for services at my local doctor showed no concern for my health...after years I became just a number with 5 minutes consultation. Nicest doctor there is doctor Sam, great manners and listens and doesn't say your time is up. Definitely a wait at this medical centre but comfy lounge chairs no hard seating like other medical centre's recommended they don't take on drug addict's or riff raff they are sent to medical centre up the road,

I have been visiting this clinic for some time now and come to the conclusion that some of the doctors treat you more like a number than a person. It appears that some of the time their diagnosis of you may not always be correct or complete. I know only attend for minor ailments. I prefer to travel to see my long time G.P. for more serious problems
