Yum Yum Tree Cafe Civic Canberra ACT.
I purchased an egg & lettuce sandwich as a takeaway, fairly basic I thought, not much could go wrong. When I got back to the office I noticed that it was the dregs of the lettuce mixed with carrot and onion peel. The knife that cut the sandwich was obviously not cleaned as the was a bright purple stripe (beetroot) where they half cut the sandwich. I paid $4.90 for this sandwich,and was not impressed and won't be going back.

Great place to take a dog and sit outside under the trees.
The coffee is good and I love the twice baked cheese souffle but the service sometimes leaves a little to be desired - slow, and incorrect orders when busy.
if you don't mind waiting and an occasional wrong order this is a beautiful place to while away an afternoon with friends or your dog.

This Cafe is located in Civic Canberra, not New Brighton
Don't bother going to the Yum Yum Tree at New Brighton if you are hungry. We had to request service after being seated and ignored for 20 minutes, then remind staff 40 minutes later to prepare our food. The waiter very insincerely smiled when we complained, offered only a small discount as recompense.
