Zafferano Restaurant

Lovely views overlooking the Swan River in Perth. I had a steak which was a fillet, my favourite. I asked for it medium, but it came out well done, but being it was so tender it was still very nice. The pear and walnut salad is a must have. Great wine list and fully licensed.

We had been wanting to try this restaurant for some time, especially since there was a change in head chef. Boy, we weren't disappointed. The restaurant had a classy ambiance and I noted that patrons actually took the trouble to dress for a night out, including the men. This is becoming quite a rarity. We were promptly sat at an outside table facing the river and beautiful views of the the city and bridge. The downside is that it got a bit chilly halfway through the meal, but nothing could beat the views I guess. We started with half dozen oysters, half Rockefeller and half Kilpatrick. They were delicious! For mains, my partner had a steak with potatoes which was cooked really well. I had an absolutely fantastic dhufish dish with mushroom risotto, the special of the day. We also ordered a side of hand cut chips, which was only ok. By now, as much as we wanted dessert, we just couldn't fit it in so we called it a night. Wonderful experience and food (though pricey), polite and professional staff

The food was superb. Shame the service let the whole experience down so badly. When you are paying this sort of money for a good meal you expect the service to come as part of the package. I don't think the waiter attempting to fish a fly out a glass of water is acceptable - in any restaurant!!! Also, don't go if you are hungry - the service was slow as well as below standard. It is such a pity as the food was so great.

Great restaurant that sits on the swan river so the view is amazing. the food is mouth watering and the service is always with a smile. the staff were well knowledge of their products and the atmosphere was a casual but fine experience.
