The BEST ITALIAN in Melbourne!!

I’ve been coming here for years. The food is to die for, so so lovely, everything melts in your mouth.

Great Italian food with good size portions. Really good pastas and a warm atmosphere full of locals. 3 years on since I first visited, still just as good.

I recently hosted a dinner at Zia Teresa, having enjoyed meals there over the years. Teresa's daughter Linda arranged the event from start to finish and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was so helpful and generous with her time and ideas, nothing was too much trouble, including some special dietary needs. Everything was beautifully arranged with impressive attention to detail. The service was superb and the food was faultless, especially the osso bucco and tiramisu cake. The whole event ran as I would wish if I was entertaining at home, with fabulous food and wine and none of the hassle. Zia Teresa specialises in traditional Italian cuisine and the best Italian hospitality. It stands apart from the countless new eating places which have sprung up in the locality over the past few years as a true 'stayer'.

I once worked as a concierge at a 5 star hotel in the Melbourne CDB. We were required to recommend restaurants in the Good Food Guide as befitting a hotel of our stature and the worldly calibre of our guests. However, one day a guest asked where the "locals" ate, so I suggested Zia Teresa, where I used to eat frequently. I advised the guest that the service was sometimes a hit and miss affair, but the food was truly exceptional in quality and value. Anyway, the guest returned from Zia's and gave me a $50 tip for my recommendation!

Love Zia Teresa's. Teresa is always working hard out in the kitchen putting all her love and passion into the food. Great selection from the menu- The 4 cheese gnocchi can't be beaten!

Being Italian I can appreciate real genuine good Italian Food ,This restaurant is the most Genuine Italian food I have ever found in Melbourne . The Gnocchi are the best you will ever get even if you travel to Italy

Zia Teresa is an excellent restaurant with reknowned homemade pasta... still offers plenty of other delicious, traditional Italian dishes too. Family-run restaurant with decent ambiance but also offers takeaway!
