My mum, partner and I decided at the last minute to go out to lunch on a Saturday (to celebrate my birthday earlier in the week). We'd always wanted to try the Saltbush, so finally decided to give it a go.

What a pleasant surprise! The service was fantastic. We were very well looked after by the lady that served us. She was polite, relaxed, helpful and friendly but not intrusive - perfect. We were even asked how our meal was at the beginning, not at the end like most places.

The food was delicious, well cooked and lots of it! We were so full and satisfied. The lovely side salad we ordered was more than enough for all 3 of us, we weren't able to get through it. It's very disappointing when you leave a restaurant not feeling satisfied - we sure didn't from here.

The place was basically empty so it was very comfortable and quiet. The atmosphere was nice. Some of the paintings were questionable but interesting to look at and great talking pieces!

The prices were pretty reasonable too. The menu had a range of choices and prices from your basic fish & chips/schnitzels to more expensive and refined foods. A little something for everyone!

We will be returning in the future for sure. Can't believe it took us a year to try you. Thanks for a lovely lunch Saltbush! :)

Bad customer service!

My first experience ordering a dinner delivery from them was terrible. I was initially greeted with a "hold the line" upon ringing them. Nice. I ordered TWO chicken hot packs. The woman on the line repeated the order so there was no communication problem. A whole hour and a bit later (we live 2 minutes away) we received our meal. I asked the delivery guy if they were busy tonight, the reply was "no". I wondered why it took an hour to deliver to a property 2mins up the road when we can get Eagle Boys pizza from Seaford earlier than that.

I received only ONE of the hot packs. The food itself was just warm, the chips were undercooked and not salted. The only nice thing was the chicken. Will not be buying from them again. Thought we'd give a local some business... they lost ours. Jimmies was a total dinner disappointment - so much for the nice night off cooking...
