I have been a regular at Bathurst Laser Skin Care and Electrolysis Centre for a while now and have never been disappointed. While some of their services can be a bit pricey, they always do a great job and the staff are friendly. They also reward their customers with discounts (such as $10 off vouchers) and they have a discount for students.

I needed my carpets professionally cleaned as I was moving house. I organized for stainbusters to clean my carpets and they did not remove the stains. My real estate agents were not impressed and said that the floors needed to be cleaned again. It was a costly learning experience and would recommend that you go with independent carpet cleaners rather than large oragnisations.

Overall I am pretty happy with George Street Medical Centre. As a student, I was bulk billed and with a healthcare card I was able to keep being bulk billed. I have seen a variety of Doctors there - some I would see again and some I wouldn't. Waiting time is usually not that long. The biggest complaint I have is that you have to call the morning of to book an appointment (not the day before) and that several times the doctor I have wanted to see has been fully booked.

I have eaten at Vanilla Bean several times and have never disappointed. It's a great feed for a great price. The atmosphere is lovely - for dinner and lunch. There are great specials for lunch and the deserts are very yummy.
Don't pass up the opportunity to try the Barramundi - I highly recommend it!

PCYC Bathurst is a great addition to the local community. I thought was a place for teens but it's actually for all ages. There are activities on most days of the week and for various ages and ability levels. Activities include Boxing, Kinder Gymnastics, Junior Gymnastics, Bellydancing, Boxing for Fitness...just to name a few. Its a cheap way to get fit, meet new people and interact with the community. I've loved it and looking forward to joining more classes.
