This review is for Warehouse Furniture Clearance Sales, Maddington WA

This is a little hidden gem, blink and you wont even see it, even though when you step inside its of warehouse proportions. This wonderful place, has terrific value furniture for your whole house (thought I don't recall seeing any beds). All items are of top quality at great prices. Its not much of a place, but who cares the stuff is brilliant. I bought a huge wall mirror for $100. I need an excuse to go buy back and buy more. Definitely should be on your to do list if your looking for something for your house, from scatter pillows to tables and chairs.

Popped in to Augusta Delights for some breakfast. This little café was one of the only places open on the Sunday morning. My husband had the all day breakfast, which was a little lacking in wow factor, with just the minimum of each item. Only 1 slice of bacon, I ordered a bacon and egg sandwich. This came out toasted, with BBQ sauce. Neither of these were stated on the menu. I hate BBQ sauce. Again only one slice of bacon for a whole sandwich. Thought we have probably had worse, we did expect better from this establishment. I'm informed by my hubbie that the coffee is good, so perhaps if that's all your looking for, this is the place to go. To rate it out of 10, its gets a sad 5.

If you looking for a fun friendly atmosphere and good food this is the place. Located at the city end of Albany Hwy in Vic park, parking is plentiful. Restaurant is clean and presents well, with an Italian theme as one would expect. Food came out quick, with good portion sizes and was hot and tasty. Various wines available on the menu, to compliment the food menu. Staff are friendly and welcoming, paying was a chore though, didn't seem to be enough staff on to man the counter what with the take away service available too.
Definitely a place to visit if your looking for a good meal in Vic Park.

This review is for Thai On The Hill, Kalamunda WA

31 Jul 2014

Thai on the Hill has been in Kalamunda for many years, so they must be doing something right. My husband and I called in for a evening meal, we had not made a booking but they were able to accommodate us and another party of 3 that arrived about 5 minutes after us. We had to wait sometime to be given menus, the party of 3 were given menus immediately. Service was quite slow, and it was very hard to attract the wait staffs attention when we were ready to order. We ordered starters and mains. All the food was tasty and at reasonably priced, its just the staff that made the experience a little sour. Facilities were clean and presentable. We would go back again, fingers crossed we get better staff.

This review is for Quinninup Tavern, Quinninup WA

Your typical country pub, slightly dated, but very friendly service, making the most of what they have to offer. The Quinninup Tavern provides a most vital services to this little town, not only are they a pub and restaurant, they also run a little shop for bread, milk and essentials that service not only the town but the caravan park next door. Plenty of bottles drinks available. There is a lovely wood fire in the middle of the pub, next to a nicely set up dinning room. Outside they have made a lovely outdoor area that is family friendly with a sand pit for the children. Everything was nice and clean and well presented. Definitely a favourite with the locals, and if you can get them coming back you know that you are doing something well. Well worth a pop in when your in the area.

If you looking for a friendly atmosphere, good food a range of drinks and pleasure service in the heart of the CBD, 43 below is the place for you. They have a wonderful menu as very good prices and the drinks range is impressive. There is plenty of seating and a separate dinning room. The atmosphere is relaxed and easy going, complemented by good music and friendly staff. We had the meat plate, wow it was huge and only $30 that was only on entrée, thank goodness we hadn't ordered our mains yet. All the portions are of a generous size. Good cocktail menu too. Pint of Stella $11, not bad for the city. Tables can be booked via the Qantas frequent flyer app, so as well as enjoying good food and rink you can earn points too! What more could you ask for? Thumbs up for 43 Below.

Purchased a chicken caesar wrap for my lunch, at lunch time so one would expect it to be relatively fresh. It had been sitting for sometime, as all the dressing had run to the bottom of the wrap. It was flavourless and overpriced, purchased with a small bottle of agrum (don't stock sugar free). You try to make a healthy choice for lunch, but when there isn't much to choose from you are left with food that is lack lustier. Disappointing, will give this a miss next time.

If you are looking for old fashioned service, to be greet like your customer is valued and treated like an old friend, as well as great cuts of meat at good prices, you need to head to the Railway Market Butcher. There is something here for anyone's budget, with Mike making great value budget and savings packs or if you looking for something special there seems to be nothing Mike cant do for you. Always fresh cuts of meats, the crumb lamb cutlets are one of my favourites or the cured pork sausages, its all so tasty. Helpful cooking advice given too, to ensure you get the most out of your purchase. You cant go past Mike the butcher.

Popped in for a spot of lunch on a lovely winters day. They offer a lunch special every day, for $11.90. Good value in my eyes. They have a huge outside area for dinning and relaxing. Inside are several section, the sports for then the normal bar, who's décor is in the English theme. Its a little run down and the staff are not very attentive, but the food was good for the price and came out fairly quick. We have a streak burger, which was a minute steak too small for the size of the bun, and fish and chips, which was a good portion size. The place seems to be a regular with the locals and attracts a certain type of clientele. Good for a quick cheap meal.

After looking at the website, and seeing their ad "the best curry in town" we thought we would give them a try. The food on the website looked amazing, such a variety, pizza, pats, tandoori, grill and curry. We ordered a meat pizza for entrée. It smelled funny like something was off, and lacked flavour. We order a chicken masala, basmti rice and beef vindaloo. The chicken was ok, it seemed like nice cuts of meat until I hit a bit of bone like substance. The rice was ok, with little sprinkle of dried onion. The Vindaloo, was not hot, even after my husband added chilly flakes. The menu range is huge, and there in lies the problem. They need to focus on just a few things and do them really well, not a half assed attempt at everything. Come 6:30pm we were the only diners in this huge restaurant. There is no atmosphere and nothing to make you want to stay for dessert. Staff are friendly enough, thought their English isn't the best. We've tried it, as we like to support local businesses, but we wont be going back and wont be recommending this one to our friends.
