I live in the U.S. and spent the first 6 months of ownership of my mare searching for a saddle. I spoke with several saddle fitters, educated myself, worked with trainers, and finally settled on the DP Saddlery range. I began working with a dealer here in the states but was frustrated when the saddle they said would be perfect for me caused me a great deal of pelvic pain. I reached out to Di through her facebook page for advice and she not only gave me excellent advice (go with a wide twist) but she did this knowing she could not sell me a saddle! That showed me that she truly cares about you and your horse and not selling/profits. I did purchase a DP Saddle (Jerez SKL) that I love and is very comfortable for me and my horse.

Several months later and after following facebook posts (I have it set to show me every single post first), I inquired about the Mattes Fellsattel. I had been completely infatuated with that saddle way back when I was shopping for "the one" but there is no dealer here and Di (at that time) wasn't authorized to ship to the U.S. She was so patient with my never-ending questions. I ended up ordering exactly what I wanted and then began the wait. Note that I ordered this saddle knowing full well there would be no way for me to return it as I special ordered it. I wouldn't normally take such a risk, but after everything Di had done to help me with the DP saddle and all the wonderful advice and expertise she gave to me, I felt confident that I would be happy with the Fellsattel.

The day it arrived, I was thrilled. It was EXACTLY want I ordered, wanted and everything I'd hoped it would be. My mare goes even better in it than she does in the DP Jerez. Di did not exaggerate her love of the fellsattel.

In my opinion, Di is a wonderful horsewoman who does her very best to guide and assist in finding a great fit for you and your horse. My husband recently got a horse and if I could purchase a new DP saddle from her again, I would. Do not hesitate to contact her, she is absolutely fantastic!
