They asked for a review so here it is. First of all what happened is my own fault. My solar hot water was 7 years old and I didn't think to check if it was under warranty. We rang Rheem and they told us it had a 10 year warranty and the plumber would have known this and should have told us. He didn't and when questioned after he gave us no reply.
