Probably Canberra's best crab & steakhouse! There's lots to choose from on the menu, our steak was cooked to perfection, but we didn't try their crab dishes. It's a really relaxed atmosphere with very friendly service and high quality food. Definitely worth splashing out a bit!
Delicious Mediterranean food and lovely cooked seafood as well. Fresh & tasty, can't fault it. Scallops were just a bit greasy, but overall very enjoyable meal and would definitely recommend to try it out!
Lovely little café – serves fantastic coffee! I believe they use Kaldi coffee and they make it really well. Their food is also decent, we tried the bacon and egg roll and had to smile when we saw that the sauce was presented as a smiley face on the plate to us. Very friendly staff, and a lovely place to sit and have a break.
Decent bookshop in Southlands Shopping Centre. They had a sale on when we went but otherwise their prices are average – some books are a bit more than other places but they have a nice range of books. Staff are more than happy to help you look for a particular book or can recommend something if you're not sure what you want.
Literally thousands of costumes for hiring/buying as well as all sorts of accessories/balloons/party goods/etc. It seems to always be busy and they only have 4 change rooms, but staff are happy to bring you as many costumes as you want to try on until you find the one you are after. On the whole the staff are helpful – some of the staff can be a bit brash and one lady in particular didn't really listen to us and just kept giving us costumes we didn't want, and then halfway through helping us moved onto another customer and started helping them, which we weren't too impressed with. Otherwise, a really good store for finding that perfect costume for your dress-up party!
A lovely little second-hand bookshop which carries a nice variety of books. There's lots of choice for fictional novels and some non-fiction books too.
Had a pleasurable lunch at the Citrus Café – staff were happy & friendly and their food is delicious! They serve Modern Australian, and although the prices might be a bit high, it's decent, quality food. Would definitely visit again.
Overall a bit disappointed with this café. It took ages for us to be served and when we asked what the ingredients were in some of their food they couldn't tell us as they “didn't knowâ€. Even though we bought a pastry & a biscuit, we weren't completely happy with the taste – they both tasted a bit bland and just wasn't very good.
High quality sausages with a wide range of flavours. Staff are very helpful and give you lots of advice on the best way to cook particular cuts. They also can tell you the fat content of everything which we were very impressed by. Meat is always fresh and looks nice.
My family & I love this shop...all sorts of truffles at exceptional quality! Prices are a bit expensive though. Our favourite are the peppermint truffles. They also have gelato which is made on the premises as well as a range of bakery goodies & European breads. A lovely place to eat lunch at followed by a delicious dessert.
