My boy suffered

My poor cat, Garfield, had to be put down today. He had Cancer on his right Thyroid.

When Dave arrived all was good. But it was not, for Garfield. It took 3, THREE, lots of sedation to sedate my boy over the span of 30 minutes. The second time, Garfield was still able to fight and Dave wasn't able to administer the full dose.
I feel so guilty putting my boy through this terrible ordeal at the end of his loving, peacefull, and housebound life. He knew nothing but terror at the end and I'll forever feel the guilt knowing I put him through that. There is no need for a vet to squeeze a pets chest to check for a heartbeat, nor to touch their eyeballs to make sure they're gone. That was never done to Cindy, Simba, Andre, Checkers, Cuddles, and Angel. They just listened for a heartbeat, whilst my babies laid on my chest, and announced that there was none. I knew the moment my boy had passed. Then came the Squeezing of his chest whilst pressing the Stethoscope, and the eye test. There was no dignity in Garfields death. And that kills me so veery much. I'm shattered, devastated and so angry that he went through such a long and terrifing transition. It took just a couple of minutes for all my other babies. Half an hour for Garfield. I hope you're resting peacefully now, my sweet, gentle boy. I miss you so much and will never forgive myself for putting you through this.

The only good thing is that their price is reasonable.
