We made it to Andrew McConnell's latest venture late August for a mid-year work function. An excellent example of a "gastro-pub". Service was great, and the food fantastic. Can't recommend the whipped cod roe highly enough ... I could've literally eaten only that and gone home happy, it was that amazing! Pricing was reasonable given the quality of the food and knowledgable and efficient service. We were even lucky enough to meet Andrew McConnell himself that evening (one of my colleagues is a friend, and he happened to be in the kitchen on the night we visited). A very humble and charming man. Wouldn't hesitate in returning.

Great coffee, best in the area. Service is fantatsic, Tino and Mia bend over backwards to accomodate. Fantastic for families with young children ... a small room full of toys makes it a great outing for the kids as well. Food is good and very reasonably priced. Open some evenings for dinner ...check out the wood fired pizza's, they are delicious!

Great little cafe in Woodend. Enjoyed a super delicious brunch (pork ciabatta roll and jerusalem bagel), service was great. Would return in a heartbeat.

Our second time to Soltan Pepper last Friday night and the food, service and hospitality were as great as the first time. Can't wait to go back and would highly recommend to anyone.
