A few years ago my son was 3.5yrs old when entering the water for the first time and naturally was very scared and upset. Instead of focusing on making him feel comfortable, Sandra, the owner, was more focused & adamant that my son wear the swim cap. My son was not comfortable with swim caps because he could not wear anything on his head as it gave him sensations that made him hurt and uncomfortable. Sandra also did not allow me to go near him at the pool even though he was crying so much. She made me stay on the other side of the glass door. When she did eventually let me go in, my son settled down. What a traumatic experience. How hard was it to let a mother go in and settle their child so they feel safe enough to continue. The instructor (another women) was lovely and understanding, however based on the first lesson for a small child who was entering the water for the first time, I could not believe Sandra's rude attitude. Even at the end of the lesson she had the nerve to tell me that she doesn't think it will work, because we didn't "fit into my ideas or style" so don't bother coming back attitude. I already wasn't planning to bring my child back but that is not how you treat people especially children. Sandra lacked respect, kindness & understanding towards my child and myself and strongly do not recommend her services.
