A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I ordered a lounge on the 19/09 and was told delivery would be 01/10. That date came along and I called the store to see when the delivery would take place. They said that it was not going to happen and that delivery would be middle of the month. On 22/10 I called to see if the couch would be coming this weekend. I was told that it would not be getting into port, in Melbourne, until the middle of November. Both times when I was told a delivery date, I WAS THE ONE who made contact with store. If there was a delay, surely the courteous thing to do would be to contact the customer. FAILING to do this is poor practice. The shop [retracted], suggested other couches to look at, but these were unsuitable and we wanted to get a refund. We were then told that it is the store policy to refund only by transfer to bank account and that wouldn't happen until Wednesday. What I cannot believe is that this is the store policy; however, nowhere have I been able to find this in writing. Not in the store. Not on the website. Not on our tax invoice. It is also noteworthy that the ACCC states:
"A consumer is generally entitled to receive any refund in the form of their original payment. For example, if they paid for an item with a credit card, it is reasonable for the seller to give the consumer a credit card refund." (Warranties and Refunds a guide for consumers and business)

I will NEVER be returning to Dare, unless of course there are further problems with the refund I have requested. I will be spreading the word to everyone that I know that this store has zero consideration for their customers.

This whole experience has been nothing but sincerely disappointing.
