I rang and Luke came over on short notice and cleared the blocked drain. He cleaned up after the job and was polite and courteous.

We went there for the first time on a Saturday night around 7pm. Parking around there was near impossible. It took a while to find a place away from this restaurant. We were seated promptly. It was quite roomy and does not feel cramped. The decor feels nice and it is not too noisy. We ordered a barbeque set which cost $75. It was enough for three people. We were given about 7 side dishes which were alright. The amount of food in the side dishes were on the frugal side. We ordered the side dishes two more times. The items for the barbeque arrived within a few minutes. After cooking it ourselves the meat tasted juicy, tender and marinated well too. We had pork belly, beef and pork spareribs. Service was prompt and down to earth. Will come back and try the fried chicken which many people seemed to be ordering around us.

Approximate cost: $75 set

We went on a Saturday about 3pm and it was our first time there. We were seated immediately. The restaurant was half full. We ordered a nasi lemak and prawn mee. We also ordered a teh tarik and coffee/tea combination unsweetened. Staff was efficient and courteous. Our orders arrived in less than five minutes. The nasi lemak tasted authentic with coconut rice and the serving was good too. The prawn mee tasted good but the soup tasted like it was watered down a bit and not as strong it should be. The oily noodles did not taste great. Not sure what it was. The portion size was alright. The teh Tarik tasted good just a bit too sweet and the coffee and tea combination was good. Prices are probably on the expensive side. Will return again to try the other things on a very appealing looking menu with lots of photos and choices.

One word to describe my experience. Disappointing. The shop was half full at about 9pm on Thursday night. You can choose a regular pot for one $11.80, Large pot for two $19.80 or Family pot for three $31.80. In each of the pots there are bean sprouts, soya sheet, veggies, quail eggs, lobster balls, octopus balls, pearl mushrooms and rice vermicelli. We ordered the large pot. We also ordered the Special Flavored Pork Chop in Soya Sauce. And we also ordered a Traditional Yunnan Lime Ice Water. The pork arrived first. What we got was two pork bones with very little meat on it. It was not pork chop. We just tried it and did not try to question it. I think we just assumed their English translation is terrible. The taste was ok but nothing great. It was really meat fall off the bone but it is missing on the plate. Not worth the $10 at all for it. Then the large pot arrived. There were the ingredients in it. The soya sheet did not taste good to me. Sort of like eating something plastic. There were only about 2 lobster balls and 2 octopus balls but they have been cut in half to appear to be more. The taste of the soup is nothing special. There were lots of soup and not much ingredients. And the Traditional Yunnan Lime Ice Water just tasted like lime juice. Also nothing special about it. We were not offered any water so we had to order a drink. The decor was ok and seating was not too tight. Overall the food was disappointing and we will not return. Total cost $34.

I have never been to this restaurant before but I have been to it's branch in Carlingford Village. The service that I experienced there was not good so I was not sure what sort of service I would be getting in this restaurant. We went in about 9pm on Thursday night. It was about half full. We were promptly seated with tea served quickly too with the menu in both English and Chinese. The decor here is better than the other place and there is more room here too. They have made an effort to make it more appealing as a restaurant and not a hawker stall. We ordered the Singapore noodles (Hong Kong style) and pan seared pork chop with rice and mushroom sauce. I also ordered an iced Coffee and tea drink mixed together. The orders came in about 6 minutes. The Singapore noodles was not oily and it was tasty. The pan seared pork chop rice looked quite plain but when I tasted it, it was full of flavor and there was just enough sauce to go with it. The portion size were good and we were happy with the food there. The ice drink I had was just a tad too sweet but otherwise was fine. It was a much more relaxing experience over here than the one I have been to before at Carlingford Village. I will be back to try to other dishes in their long list of menu items.

I was there on a Saturday morning and it was not very crowded. We sat down and tried to get the waiter to get our tea. It took a while but eventually the tea arrived. We ordered a few dishes like the beef dim sim, chicken feet, siew mai, claypot rice. All the food we ordered was alright but not outstanding. The sizes were generous and the total bill was not as expensive as other yum cha places around. Will probably go back again.

I have been here a few times. The food here is not great like the name of the restaurant. It is just ok. The servings are generous but the taste is inconsistent. We had the two person special with soup included which is almost always bland, vegetables and rice. You can choose two dishes from a list of about 12 different dishes. You can choose from sweet and sour pork, tofu, fish, chicken, beef or honey prawns. We tried the prawns once and regretted it. It was not fresh and very very sweet. It was supposed to be a savory dish but tasted like a dessert. It is usually not packed during the week but on weekends there are more diners probably because of the cheaper price and serving size. Recommended if you don't care about the quality. Service from staff is also nothing great. It opens until 9:30pm.

We went there on Saturday afternoon about 2pm. There wasn't any customers and we ordered Singapore noodles (Hong Kong style), Char Koay Teow (Malaysian style) and Thai fishcakes. The Thai fishcakes were tasty and there were six pieces. The Singapore noodles tasted good and was not oily. The Char Koay was alright but did not really taste like the ones you find in Malaysia. On the plus side it was not oily too. The portion size was good. It was quite hot in the shop and the lady there came out with an electric fan without us asking which was nice. She was warm and friendly. We will return to try other dishes like laksa or sambal chicken.

Went there on Saturday night about 9:30pm. It was about half full and a bit noisy. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese and soft shell crab salad. We also ordered a salt and pepper squid too. The spaghetti was good with 3 large meatballs. Maybe not enough sauce but other than that it tasted good. Likewise the soft shell crab salad was good and it was a generous size with about six fried crabs. Salt and pepper squid was great and not oily. The squid was still soft and easy to eat. Then we ordered a chocolate deliquence (not sure of the spelling) with ice cream and a D crunch pancake with caramel sauce and ice cream. Both desserts tasted great and the size was generous too. Chocolate was streaming out of the cake and it was rich. Both of us were very full after that. Service was prompt and all our orders were out to us in less than 10 minutes. We will be back to try other things next time.

I have been to this particular shop numerous times. It does have a lot of variety but sometimes the quantity may not be enough for you to buy. The products will change from time to so what you bought many times before will not be available for a long time and will not be available again. I was after the small wooden easels. They had it in stock for a while and then I bought most of it and I can't seem to find it again. I also went to other Daiso shops but they were out too. I like the range they offer too however sometimes some things can be bought at a cheaper price than $2.80 so it is wise to have a look at other stores like the dollar stores too. I find the quality not too far from each other. I am sure I will return to see what other solutions for the home or daily life they come up with.

Approximate cost: $2.80
