First, the Fish is fresh, a good portion, battered and cooked so well.
Next is the cleanliness of the shop - very clean.
Lastly, they are polite and pricing is good. No grease running down your hands.
Approximate cost: $10.00
Large two storey home. The mortar was in bad need of mending after 30 years since construction.
Was dreading a $10,000 quote.
Phoned Rick, who runs his business with his brother.
Rick quoted under $2000. They use one of the new products of 'grout' that is flexible. It goes over your existing grout.
Took 3 men best part of a day to do it. Rubbish removed.
2 years on and today was looking at the pointing. No defects detected.
Approximate cost: $1800
First got Osman to fix a Playstation 1 in 1988. Then TV's. Recently had my 50" Plasma TV fixed.
Osman and his team are professional, their pricing suits my budget - and everything ends up working.
No hard sales. It is said what it is and you make your own mind up.
Osman is an easy going bloke - trustworthy in the home - and a master at what he does.
Friend needed a website presence. I asked around and of the tips I got, we met a few developers.
When we met Tony, he was dressed well and acted as a professional. Friendly & not pushy.
He even had a questionnaire where he could extract from us about what was wanted.
The resulting product was fantastic. This is what he did http://www.BuildCorpVic.com.au. And it didn't cost the earth.
Quality for money
Security door lock decided to pack up. WoMo put me onto these blokes. I phoned on a weekend but was happy to wait till a week day.
All good. Turned up in time frame. Amount paid was to the semi - detailed over the phone quote. Included a new handle and lock mechanism.
I was impressed that Brad had a new handle and lock mechanism in his van. My security door is 30 years old.
Clean shop, quick and friendly service, good pricing. Oh, and succulent chicken.
They sell salads, spring rolls and all needed for that BBQ meal.
Approximate cost: $11.00
Tunnel Rats. They can get their wires through rooves and walls in such a short time. 6 cameras, monitor and recorder for $2000-. Can't go wrong. They also do higher end surveillance.
Approximate cost: $2000
Haven't been to this pizza place since I left Tullamarine 16 years ago. Before that, I wouldn't go to any other pizza joint. I would be loved by the lady of my home for bringing home their chicken pizza.
The challenge - go back and see if it the same quality dough and pizza. The Owner of 20 years ago (Bill I think) would have to have retired.
Truth be known, I have teenage memories of this pizza joint going back to mid 70's when the Tullamarine Drive In theatre was over the road (now called Gladstone Park)
Stay tuned for chicken pizza - which was made from roasted chook.
Approximate cost: $10
Not as good as Taylors Lakes Fish and Chips (Taylors Lakes Shopping Centre)
BUT
This F&C shop is classic Greek ownership and quality. It comes second only because they are competing in Taylors Lakes with another Greek owner who cooks a little bit better and with fish a bit larger in fillet size.
You won't be disappointed at the Keilor F&C shop. Very clean, well cooked F&C that don't ooze excess oil .. ie: they have their cooking temp just right.
Approximate cost: $10.00
Heard many people speak highly of this chicken place. Went there. They cook their chook on charcoal - so the sign says. Looks like heat beads to me. No matter.
Succulent chicken, but too salty for me to go back. (And I add salt to take away chicken).
Way better than any other chicken joint I've been too though. Value is great.
Shop clean, service great. Only thing is the saltiness. Maybe I was having a bad PH day.
Approximate cost: $6.00
