I have been going to haize a smybhair salon for some time now. I recently moved to the other side of the city and travel back to Elwood for my appointments!!

I see Lauren as my hairdresser and she has been fantastic. She always has great ideas on what i should do with my hair and manages my expectations when she thinks maybe I need a phased approach.
Everyone always comments on my blonde colour and I have Lauren to thank.

The best bit - a glass of wine or a coffee with every appointment! You can even order food from the cafe next door if you need.
Such a relaxing experience in a great salon.
Oh and the best head massage in Melbourne!

Called John to get a quote for a powerpoint.
He was very helpful over the phone and gave me the advice I needed. Decided to go ahead and he was able to come out the same day.
He was very reasonably priced and was very professional.
No job is too small - he said he is very happy to do just the little jobs - I would highly recommend him

I find the quality of the Sushi is Fantastic. Always fresh, they are always making new sushi throughout the day.
However sometimes I find the service lacking. It is a bit "Factory" like in that they seem to just get people in the door and push them out again, in the quickest way possible. Sometimes a more polite Hello, or Welcome wouldn't go astray!

Fantastic little Fish and Chippery. I must say though, it is in a fairly quiet strip, but the service is great.
We ordered over the phone, some fish, chips, a burger, fried dim sims and potato cakes.
The Flake I ordered normally comes battered (even if you just want grilled). So I ordered the flake with no batter. They kindly did this, and even packed it in a seperate box as they were concerned that perhaps the lack of batter was due to an intolerance/allery - such a nice thought!

They are lovely people to deal with, polite, chatty and most of all very happy to have the business.

This will be our new Friday night local for fish and chips in summer!

I recently needed to find a gift for mum and wanted something a bit different to just a bunch of flowers.
After looking online for a few options, I found LuLu and Angel. They offer beautiful terrariums and Ship within Metro Melbourne.
I ordered late on a Sunday evening, and 15 minutes later, got a lovely personalized text message from them thanking me for the order and confirm delivery to occur on Tuesday!
Sure enough, Tuesday morning, 10am, and the terrarium was delivered to my door step!
It is beautifully wrapped and well protected so that it travelled well. (I am actually not even going to re-wrap it before giving it as a gift as it already looks beautiful!)
I think terrariums are a great idea, and to have someone in Melbourne who can ship quickly and carefully is even better.
Great option for an interesting gift that lasts longer than flowers.
I also loved that they have lots of different options, different shapes, sizes (and prices) to suit!

This restaurant has great food! They are open for lunch with a limited menu (including sushi rolls), and dinner for a more extensive menu. They are only a small restaurant and close at 9pm, so they are perfect for a low key dinner.
The decor is very simple, nothing fancy and the restaurant is quite small (approx 30 seats) so I would recommend booking.

This has been a new find for me! it is quite a large cafe (probably seats 60-70 people??) and so we are always able to get a seat without a new to book.
they have a fantastic breakfast menu, they really do offer something better than just your usual bacon and eggs. it seems to be more of a healthy focus, with great options.
my favourite is the smashed avocado, with mint fetta and pomegranate seeds. it was just delicious!
they have specials all the time and lots of great take away options (muffins, breakky rolls, savory focaccia etc).
their coffees are delicious and the service is great as well.
it is not that expensive ($10-$15) for most breakfast dishes and is so worth it! I would highly recommend miss frank.

This is a fantastic little team room. It seats approx 50(?) people, and opens at 11am. But be careful - It is so popular that there is a line to get in!
We went on a Sunday morning, and got there at approx 10.45am. There was a line out the front already so we joined the queue.
We got a beautiful little table right by the window. But don't worry, if they are full, they will put your name down for the next available table.
The Decor is adorable, reminiscent of an english cottage. The staff are very courteous, and managed the busy tea room very well.
We had the chicken cottage pie, and followed that up with some of the best scones I have ever had!
The scones come with jam and cream and are just delicious.
Their menu is very traditional, and ranges from savory snacks, to lunch and a huge array of Deserts.
Be careful if you are ordering the Sundae - It is HUGE and would probably be best shared between two people at least.
All in all, I would definitely recommend Miss Marples for a relaxed bite to eat with delicious food.
