Simply put, Endre is a master craftsman. Meticulous in his painting and woodwork restoration, he has a vast knowledge of materials and methods. He has also helped us out in countless other ways throughout our renovations: identifying the source of water damage (usually poor building practices) sourcing material, liaising with other trades.

He’s an absolute gem. We would never use anyone else!

As a painter, he is second to none. With many years of experience under his belt, he has numerous tricks to deal with bowed paster-board and uneven architraves to create a pristine look. He also has a good eye for design, providing great advice on colour schemes and other finishing touches.

He does more than painting, however. He has an affinity for and a deep understanding of wood, masterfully restoring damaged windows and architraves. As an example, he restored for us some badly rotted sash windows, cutting out and replacing the rotted wood with new, and sourcing and installing new internal springs. Looking at the pristine lines of the finished windows, you would never know that any restorative work had been done. They look brand new.

Endre is also extremely knowledgeable about appropriate building practices and he has helped us a number of times to identify the causes of rot and work out what needed to be done to ensure that it doesn’t happen again. He has oftentimes gone above and beyond to help us resolve problems in the building work itself.

In addition to his knowledge and skills, Endre is very professional in the way he runs his business: always punctual, always keeps a tidy workspace, always follows through, very pleasant to be around and extremely trustworthy.
