Have had a few pizzas from Turinos, delivered and pick up and eat in.

The gourmet pizzas are absolutely unique and every single one is delicious! My personal favourite of all time is the Jasmin's Garden - it's like it's not pizza, it's so much more! If you are a pizza afficionado you MUST sample as many of their gourmet pizzas as possible. If you're from off, it's worth a trip for the pizza - the eat in is just cafe tables and chairs, but the shop is about 200m to the beach, so I'd suggest grab the pizza to go and eat it at the beach.

They also do Indian food, which I've also tried. It was OK, fine, but for me they'll always be about the pizza.

It's a little on the pricey side - but you're paying for quality.

Definitely worth a try!

This review is for Cafe Latino, Woodville Gardens SA

I went here with bubs to meet up with a friend for brunch/lunch.

The cafe is a very funky not-where-you'd-expect-it cafe, hidden in the suburbs though with some exposure being on the Grange/Outer Harbour train line.

The food was very nice, I had the latino breakfast though being married to a latino and having spent months in LA countries, I can say that the only latino-y ingredient was the addition of Chorizo to the plate. That's ok though, I wasn't expecting a full on latino menu (though my hopes did soar briefly when I saw the name). The little latino nuances are enough. The list on the menu is not huge - that's often a good thing as it generally means ingredients are more likely to be fresh - but you should find something that appeals.

We also had a crepe dessert, it was very yummy.

The lady serving was a little busy with a few patrons to attend to, but she was lovely and happy to chat when she had the chance. Service was refreshingly intimate.

Overall I would definitely go back and look forward to doing so more often for a lazy start to a saturday morning.

This review is for Dr Gabriel Parker, Chiropractor, Henley Beach SA

verified email - 01 Mar 2013

I've been seeing Gabriel regularly for a couple of years now.

Gabriel is very attentive at each visit, and always takes time to talk to you about your health, any symptoms etc. He is always thorough in any adjustments and always tailors the adjustment according to your needs; you never just have the same adjustments regardless of your symptoms.

Gabriel is very easy to talk to and is genuinely caring. Sometimes going to a chiropractor is a little scary - while Gabriel can really get my bones a-crackin, I'm never worried as it's clear he knows what he's doing.

The practise has a calming atmosphere and is simple and minimal. There is also a lady masseuse working out of the rooms there. Parking is always easy and I generally get a park right out the front.

Highly recommend - though don't EVERYONE start going there as I want to be able to actually get in to see him!

This review is for Oaks Hyde Park Plaza, Sydney NSW

We recently travelled with a baby and were looking for central accomodation with particular facilities that didn't break the budget.

We got a room for 3 nights at Oaks - and we were given a room on the highest floor with a balcony overlooking the park! The room with full kitchen was huge and the balcony was also HUGE! It was so lovely! The balcony had table and chairs and was just gorgeous.

The room had everything we needed with a baby - a microwave, fridge, freezer, kettle etc. The bathroom doubled as a laundry and had a combined washer dryer, which was FANTASTIC as we could a/ wash and dry baby's clothes and b/ the white noise of the washing machine lulled her to sleep!

The room was clean, there was only one blind not functioning as it was off it's track, but all was otherwise well maintained. The only other problem was the TV - I think the programming was broken as there were two adult channels streaming at all times - a bit awkward! I don't know if it was broken or if that just came as 'standard' - but the movies certainly weren't streaming and you'd have to click to pay for them. I was a bit too embarrassed to report the adult channel glitch...!!!

The service was just enough to get you checked in. I asked at reception for some extra tea/coffee/sugar sachets and they were a bit miserly even when I asked for extra!

The decor, sure, was a bit dated and not gleaming luxury - but that meant we could afford it and it certainly wasn't like we were in a dump - it was still absolutely fine and felt like a quality hotel. I understand they are refurbishing currently and the pool is closed until sometime in 2013 - if this is important to you, check the website for when it's open again!

Overall - we paid an excellent price for a huge room with absolutely gorgeous views. Well pleased.

This review is for Apollo Motorhomes, High Wycombe WA

We hired a campervan to do a 2000km road trip in WA. We picked the campervan up from the Apollo in Perth.

The campervan rental lot was quite close to the airport - close enough that we walked there to pick up the camper with our suitcases from the airport - though on the way back to the airport we wimped out and got a taxi as it was raining! Easy walking distance with suitcases and we're not super fit athletes.

We had to wait a bit for the van to be ready, but there was coffee/tea while we waited so it wasn't too bad. The campervan was clean and tidy, well maintained. They gave us an ok overview of the camper before we left - they didn't show us everything but then we weren't going to be putting it through all it's paces so that was ok. We could have asked for more detail and they'd have obliged I'm sure.

The van was reasonably priced, we chose the instead of hire car and accomodation costs at our destination, so it worked out cheaper. We didn't know at the time as we'd prebooked an apollo van online, but they also run a company called cheapa campa, which offer the same campervans as apollo, but these are the vans which have nicks/scrapes after a few years service as apollo vans. If I'd known I'd have gone with the cheapa campa, but still have no complaints about the Apollo.

We had a dingle with the apollo (driving in pitch black countryside to position the van for us to tuck in for the night, I reversed it into a tree with a protruding branch stump!). There was just a fist sized dent in the rear bumper - but we'd paid the $50 odd dollars when we rented it to mitigate the larger insurance excess, so I think it only cost me a further $40ish admin fee when we returned for them to process all paperwork to fix. I'd been worried that it wouldn't be covered or there'd be issues - but it was all sorted no muss, no fuss.

We stayed here overnight with a baby on a trip from Adelaide to Melbourne.

The room was clean and quite dark - which normally I wouldn't like but with a sleep challenged baby it was good. The room didn't have a microwave which made it a bit hard to heat baby's food, but there was a sink and fridge w freezer which was good.

We ordered room service from the restaraunt and the food was fine.

The food and room were reasonably priced, maybe just a touch on the dear side - though I haven't done much 'small town motelling' so my judgement may not be fair.

The service is where the motel really sparkles. The lady who booked us in was just lovely and offered any help we needed with bubs - she even sought us out as we left as she had a little gift from her home country for the baby to wish her safe travels, which was just such a lovely gesture. So nice to encounter lovely people who don't just 'provide a service' but who care for the people that come through their business.

This review is for NAS Cafe, Woodville South SA

I grabbed a coffee and banana bread from NAS Cafe. The Cafe opens onto both the street (Port Road) and the GP centre waiting room, so undoubtedly a lot of people grab a coffee and sit there to wait for their appointments.

The food is basic cafe fare, well that I took notice of anyway, and the range of coffee was extensive. It was a little on the pricey side, but it's a brand new cafe after all. The coffee and banana bread were both good.

The decor is nice and clean, and product presentation is nice - all new so can't do much wrong here.

The coffee was nice and the service was fine. I'd go back if I were nearby and needing a coffee/sit down :)

This review is for Motel Halfway, Nhill VIC

verified email - 28 Feb 2013

We stayed @ Nhill Motel Halfway on a recent - slow - trip from Melbourne to Adelaide.

The room was extremely tidy - had a microwave, TV, little kitchenette, bar fridge w freezer, reverse cycle airconditioner, wardrobe, bathroom (toilet +shower) a double bed and a single.

The only problems with the room were: on this particular (warm) night, there were about 20 mozzies in the room! I don't know how they got in, but thankfully we had a muslin wrap we could drape over the baby's pram while she slept to protect her from bites.

The second thing to be aware of is that the tapwater is not drinkable straight from the tap - there is an advisory there that says you need to boil the water continuously for at least 5 minutes. The advisory was quite small and we missed it - and made the baby's bottle with water we'd only boiled the once in the kettle (so about 10 seconds continuous boil). Luckily I realised before the baby had drunk too much! Just make sure you boil the water multiple times and it's safe to drink.

The complimentary breakfast was great - there is a little dining area adjoining the motel office that has plenty of tables, and is set up to allow you to make your own toast/cereal/tea/coffee etc. Basically just help yourself. The dining room was lovely and very well stocked/tended.

Whilst the accomodation is simple and cheap, the owners obviously take a real pride in their establishment. I definitely recommend a stay here (byo aerogard) as it was far cheaper than the motels right in the town centre and just as good a quality.

This review is for Muchos Pizza, Woodville South SA

verified email - 28 Feb 2013

I've ordered 'special occasion' dinner for the family/friends a couple of times via menulog.

The pizzas are quite tasty, the toppings are not overly generous nor skimpy - just about right. They have a good range of pizzas and most are combinations of ingredients I haven't seen before.

I always make a note on the order via menulog that the pizzas must be made without onion - once this was overlooked and one of the pizzas arrived with onion. We called to advise and they checked the order and realised they'd not seen the note. They arranged to deliver another pizza with no hassle, which arrived about 10-15 minutes later along with a complimentary tub of gelati - nice.

The prices are reasonable and there are 'combo deals'.

Definitely would recommend Muchos Pizza - the food is great, service is excellent, and it's a local business - fantastic.

I've got a semi-permanent onsite van at PPCPK. We holiday here as often as we can!

The park is meticulously maintained and it seems there are improvements made every time we visit. The park is quite small, and is basically a rectangle layout around the central lawn area.

The central area is a very social and lovely place to pass the time; in winter there are bonfires of a nighttime, there are 2 BBQ's, and plenty of space undercover to sit and enjoy a meal/drink/chat.

The rec room has a table tennis table, big screen TV and there is also a playground for the kids. The amenities rooms are always very tidy and clean - well I have only been into the ladies, but I assume the bloke's is the same!!!

There are quite often special themed parties on throughout the year - Easter weekend and Christmas time/NYE are great times to be at the park.

Prices for both semi-perms and casual visitors are excellent - very cheap.

The hosts are very approachable, friendly and very helpful.
