The foreshore has everything you need for a night's entertainment - great food at the Bistro, gaming area, bars and live music.
The bistro menu has a huge selection including lots of fresh seafood.
There's plenty of parking available as well as a bottle shop on site.

This pub is listed in the book 'A Walk in Old Hobart' and I believe it's Charles Woolley's local watering hole (from 60 minutes fame).
They serve a yummy thick seafood chowder which is almost a meal in itself. The steak melts in your mouth and accompanying sauces are very tasty.
Be prepared to wait a while for your meal, so take along some good friends to chat to.

Witches in Britches offers a hilarious night out with a 3 course meal, as well as tea and coffee, included. You get a few choices for the main meal (usually chicken, fish, red meat as well as a vegetarian option).
There's a disco area you can party on at after the show. It's a great night out and well priced for what you get.

Abbey's is one of my favourite special occasion restaurants. It is located in Propect House, a historic convict-built mansion, just before you get to Richmond. It's such a beautiful elegant setting and perfect for a romantic candle-lit dinner.
The food and service are fantastic.

I love the pizza from this place. Oversized unhealthy, slightly greasy pizza - just what I love! They have all the traditional pizza options on the menu (hawaiian, BBQ chicken etc), as well as a few different ones (pesto chicken). Love it!

Great sized pub which has a large indoor area, outside area and rooftop area, as well as an area with gaming machines.
There's a great range of lunchtime meals to choose from at reasonable prices (around $12.50), and they are served relatively quickly.
There's a lot of pizzas on the lunch menu, including a peking duck pizza. My personal favourite is the thai green chicken.

The Ashfield hotel has a nice modern atmosphere, with plenty of seating both inside and in the outdoor courtyard. There's a good selection of food on the menu and the meals come relatively quickly. There's also a gaming lounge as well.

Some nights they have trivia or other forms of entertainment, and they draw good sized crowd.

This is advertised as 'Tasmania's finest sushi' which I would believe as this is the nicest tasting sushi I've eaten in the Hobart area. It's so popular that the queue is sometimes out the door!

Vanny's serves Cambodian food which I think is just as good as food I've eaten in Cambodia. I haven't had a dish from there yet that I don't like.

Takeaway lunch from the bain maree is only $7.00 or you can eat in the café where there's plenty of seats and tables to choose from.

This theatre restaurant makes for a great night out. There's always a fun filled comedy show to watch while you enjoy your 3 course meal of soup, main and dessert. There's only a few choice available on the menu but they're always nice. Great value for a night's entertainment.

The cocktails are also fun and you can get them in a keep sake shaker to take home with you.
