I was having a terrible time trying to breastfeed my third baby, who always seemed hungry and unsettled.
My plan was always to breastfeed and I was feeling defeated and like I needed to give up. He was alway crying, not latching well, his weight gain was low as he was not getting enough milk. I was exhausted expressing milk to top him up after every feed and feeling like I just couldn’t keep up with my hungry boy. Feeding my baby was almost a two hour routine and it felt like no sooner had I fed him he was awake and due for another feed.

After consulting with Leonie over the phone via face time, she was able to diagnose my baby with a tongue tie and recommended we see a good dentist to have it followed up, after his tie was corrected Leonie visited my home to help me refine my technique.
From that feed on we have successfully breastfeed EVERY feed, we have a reliable eat - play - sleep routine, I am confident recognising wind as opposed to hunger signs and my baby has been much much happier and settled overall. To top it off he is also sleeping longer at night since her visit and we started our new routine.
