Recently I had very bad experience with Holden Service Centre at Liverpool. Gave my holden captiva for regular servicing. First I have been told it would be ready by 1 PM however never received call from them untill 2.30 so I have called them to get an update. during the call I have been told that my car Alternator gone faulty and not charging the battery so need replacement.
I was shocked because only this month my mechanical protection plan gone expired and they have found fault in the car. When I have check my protection plan and found that alternator was covered in the warranty. As soon my protection plan got expired they have stated me that alternator needs to be changed. I really didn't expected such a bad service from Holden service center. If it was really an alternator issue they could have checked in my previous service when the protection plan was active and told me but they never did that or they checked and waited for protection plan to expire so I have to pay for the part replacement.
Anyways, I didnt changed the part and next day I booked another mechanic to double check the alternator. Another mechanic carried the test and found no issue with Alternator.
so be careful with them, they will try to rip you off once you dont have protection plan or expired.
