This review is for Monggo Restaurant, Mount Lawley WA

Monggo is in the very busy area of Mount Lawley, so please allow time to find a carpark! We were greeted and seated quickly. Indonesian restaurants are rare in Perth, so we were keen to give it a try. It wasn;t quite as good as we were hoping for. The beef in the rendang was very tough, even though the menu said it had been slow cooked for 6 hours. This is fmy favourite indonesian dish but with the toughest meat, it was disappointing. The nasi goreng noodles were the stand out they were excellent. It is BYO and service was friendly and efficient.

We made a booking on a Saturday night, but looks like we didn't need to. Only a small restaurant with around 7 tables, and a bit out of the way, near the old Myer building. We were greeted straight away and given menus and a drink list. Had a lovely bottle of Kerfuffle SSB from Margaret River and we shared a red emperor with chips and salad, and the fish box, which consisted of snapper , 2 oysters, some lovely crumbed calamari, a few mussels, 2 scallops and s mall amolunt of lobser. Both came with a fresh salad and lovely dressing, some home made tartare (yum when its home made, i give them 5 stars) and some fries. We shared this with 3 people (one was a kiddie) and it was enough. Prices aren't cheap, but service was nice, and food was fresh. They welcome the entertainment book which was great too.

This review is for Mahsuri Satay Restaurant , Victoria Park WA

This Satay restaurant has every type of satay you can think of - chicken, lamb, beef, prawn, goat, squid, vegetable and more. I definitely recommend ordering a big selection and sharing them, they are tasty and very morish. Licensed and BYO. Very large restaurant so should be fine to get into, but good to secure a booking on the busy nights.

In the heart of Fremantle lies a lovely Turkish restaurant. Does get very busy and you should make a booking on Fridays and Saturdays. Parking can be a bit difficult, you will need to pay and walk. Food is great, loud music, even live entertainment on Saturday. Lots of dishes, and so many choices, but the dips are lovely and fresh.

Berry Farm cafe is part of the Berry farm in Margaret River. Here you can get scones with home made berry jam, rolls and salads with home made relishes, mustards and chutneys. Absolutely delicious way to spend an hour, and afterwards you can go into the shop and buy the jams and chutneys!

Great cafe open for breakfast and lunch. Fast service, and some food is pre made, like meat and salad rolls, but others are freshly made. Good range of salads, and they make a good cup of coffee. Great value and friendly staff

Very good quality Italian restaurant that adds a few special touches. For example, home made dressings and sauces which really make a dish stand out. Friendly service, plenty of tables, BYO and licenced and a good choice of menu items, from steaks to seafood dishes.
