Unfortunately Dr Ramesh Paramsothy was unable to help and find a solution to my gastroenterology problem. Unfortunate that he did not have the experience to be able to help me to find the answer.

After 4 months of pains including stomach aches, bloating, gas, breathing difficulties and severe discomfort my GP referred me to see Professor Thomas Borody at the Centre for Digestive Diseases. The service from this centre was non existent and by far the worst I had encountered when compared to the 11 other doctors I had seen including 4 professors none of whom was able to diagnose my difficult medical condition. At least with all the other doctors the waiting time to see a doctor was at the most one week. After 3 weeks I still had not heard back with any appointment date to see doctor Borody. I wrote by email and attached my GP referral letter asking for an urgent appointment stating I would come in on any day at any time at a moments notice. The pain was killing me and I was sick of knocking myself out every night with Stillnox tablets so I could sleep at night. All I received were robotic auto-reply emails to my three emails saying that the doctors were reviewing my condition and would get back to me soon. I learned this was all BS and no person had actually read my emails. I found this out after 3 weeks waiting when I decided to drive to the medical rooms to ask about my appointment date in person at the reception counter. The ladies at reception knew nothing about my emails and it was clear to me that they had not been read as they tried to find them on their computer system. An elderly gentleman who was waiting for his appointment in the waiting room told me it was nothing unusual with long waiting times and very poor service. I was disgusted considering the pain I had suffered for 3 weeks waiting for an appointment date yet they say on their website that urgent cases will be seen within two days. This is only part of the story since I would have to write so much more but will do so in a full written complaint to the Healthcare Complaints Commission. The reception staff who organize appointments should get a kick up the backside (or preferably be fired) since they clearly don't care about how their patients feel and if they are in pain.
I don't have any complaint against any of the doctors at the practice since I am sure they are all good caring people. My anger and frustration is directed squarely at the reception staff and the lies that are told on the Centre for Digestive Diseases website.
