As VIXEN said. Great little place to find all kinds of one off bits and pieces. Loads of storage stuff that you always seem to need.
Save yourself a bundle and go there before Big W!
Great Friday lunch! So very cheap! Steak and chips with drinks for $5.
Im able to buy breakfast and lunch for $10 now!
I'm a VERY VERY VERY happy girl :)
Approximate cost: $5-10
I used to love Montezuma's and hadn't been for a really long time. I've just moved to Southport and I thought I would give them another visit, and unfortunately my partner and I didn't have the same experience as the last couple of reviews.
The nacho's we had were very bland (just tomato salsa and some herbs). My partners main was very very ordinary. He had a burrito combo.....
I ordered the Chicken with chocolate sauce. It was cooked fine and the sauce ok, but serving it with a raw pineapple ring on top and banana dusted with breadcrumbs was just...well...weird. It was like someone forgot try fry them!
And...nearly $19.00 for watered down Sangria is just not good enough.
I can see why families go. It is family friendly for the kids, which is great, but the food just isn't worth it.
Especially when its $70 for 2 mains, a shared entree and a jug of sangria!
Buy yourself an old el paso taco kit, and a good bottle of red instead! You'll have money left over to buy the kids a pinata!
Approximate cost: $25
$5 for a Bacon and Egg toasted sandwich WITH a GOOD freshly roasted coffee.
WOW, I won't have to make my own breakfast ever again!
Next time....the $7.95 buffet lunch!
Approximate cost: $5
A real great place. The green curry was the best I've had outside of Thailand....seriously :)
Service was a bit slow and the waitresses blunt not rude (more like efficient!)
This is a nice, family Thai restaurant that is simple, but has really great food that won't disappoint.....unless its Saturday night and you can't get a table!
Approximate cost: $15-20
Usually a great store. They have lots of good quality items, however, their appliances section is pathetic. I needed a food processor and the only one they had looked like it wouldn't last 5 minutes. Yes, cheap is good, but only if it lasts the warranty, at least!
Really great little craft store. My friend and I were thrilled we don't have to go all the way to Spotlight to get crafty items! The staff are also really helpful.
Approximate cost: $10-15
While my experience wasn't as bad as the other two reviews, it was not much better either. The restaurant was not busy, yet there were uncleared tables all around us.
We had to go to the bar to get the attention of the staff to placer our order. The food was ok, and came out in a decent amount of time, but nothing special.
There are LOADS of better place to go at the Town Centre.
Don't bother.
Approximate cost: $15
I dont usually frequent fish and chip shops, but after getting one of the Fish's menu's in the mail, I thought we would try it out.
It turned out to be one of the best decisions Ive ever made. While the shop is small, and they have this door buzzer that keeps going off every time someone comes in (most of the time!), the fish selection was really good. Although I was disappointed that their main seller was an imported fish, I was recommended their deal of the day, which was Queensland Snapper and chips. I had it battered, and it was absolutely the best, freshest fish Ive had from a local ever...and it was only $10.50 for the deal.
My husband had a burger, which was homemade, and by his admission also really good . (I cant comment as I dont eat beef)!
I can see why they have been nominated for best Seafood Takeaway of the year
Approximate cost: $10
The menu has improved a lot with the new owners.
Really good bacon & eggs, and BEAUTIFULLY presented too. A family next to us was taking pictures of theirs!
Friendly service, reasonable coffee, and good value also make this one of Varsity Lakes great breakfast spots.
Approximate cost: $12-15
