The chips here are phenomenal. The service, not so much.
Its best to be very clear about what you want, as there can be some language difficulties.

Approximate cost: $10

This is a great Fish n Chip shop. The fish is fresh in the cabinet and you can choose the type of fish and the particular one that you would like them to cook for you. Huge scallops and calamari rings. You can choose one of the Specials too which is good value pack.

This fish tastes really good, i wouldn't say the best but if you are around the area and are looking for a feed, i wouldn't mind popping by at this place you won't be disappointed.

I dont usually frequent fish and chip shops, but after getting one of the Fish's menu's in the mail, I thought we would try it out.

It turned out to be one of the best decisions Ive ever made. While the shop is small, and they have this door buzzer that keeps going off every time someone comes in (most of the time!), the fish selection was really good. Although I was disappointed that their main seller was an imported fish, I was recommended their deal of the day, which was Queensland Snapper and chips. I had it battered, and it was absolutely the best, freshest fish Ive had from a local ever...and it was only $10.50 for the deal.

My husband had a burger, which was homemade, and by his admission also really good . (I cant comment as I dont eat beef)!

I can see why they have been nominated for best Seafood Takeaway of the year

Approximate cost: $10

Was walking past the fish the other day and noticed that they have some $5 deals going at the moment, so I thought Id give it ago for lunch. I had the "a" meal, 3 fish bites and snack chips for $5. It was really good value. Not a really big meal, but just enough for a satisfying lunch. Will definitely keep it in mind when after a quick, cheap meal.

My boyfriend and I recently moved to Varsity Lakes and decided to try the Fish- food with a difference. The menu was huge (and to be honest a little daunting!!) but the lady at the front was really helpful and guided us to make our order. This really was fish and chips with a difference! We had never heard of all the different ways that you can have your fish cooked, and after deciding to get the "Fish and Chips for 2" pack, I had my fish grilled with a lemon creme sauce, and my boyfriend had his with garlic and herb butter. We also got a serve of salt and pepper calamari, which were soooo yummy!!!
We will definitely be going back again and we also noticed they have a lot of burgers, so my boyfriends going to try one next time. However, I'll be sticking to grilled dory with lemon creme sauce....yum!

Approximate cost: $10

I am pleased you had a good experience. The same lady you speak of got my order wrong and would not admit her mistake wanting to charge me again for what I ordered in the first place. I will never go back again.

They got my sister's order wrong and when she let them know they told her that to get what she ordered she'd have to repay for it. When we tried to call the manager they wouldn't talk to us about it. It was only $6. Surely they could have done something to rectify the problem!

All I wanted is for them to exchange it but they wanted me to pay for it again. I had 2 witnesses who heard me ask for chicken nuggets but they gave me fish. I cannot believe how rude they were to me and my mum when she rang up. $6.00 is a lot for a university student. I didnt want my money back. Just the correct order.

As the only Fish and Chips shop in Varsity Lakes CBD it has no competitors. I found the fish to be of a satisfactory standard though the chips were average. My kids didn't appreciate the finely chopped parsley sprinkled all over the food.

Approximate cost: $7.50

The grilled fish is what makes this not just another local fish and chip place. The chips are also good, go for chicken salt. The service is usually quick and you can pre-order and collect.

Best fish and chips in Varsity Lakes including a range of different options such as Thai style fished or chilli crumbed. The chips are finished off with a fantastic seasoning which is delicious and you get a choice of chip cuts.
