Working out this way at the moment has certainly given my the opportunity to explore some new restaurants/cafes that I had not as yet tried. Mr India was almost on top of my list.
I ordered some takeaway for my work collegues and I and found our choices to be very flavoursome and fulfilling. The serving sizes were very generous and prices reasonable. I really enjoyed my lamb madras, tried the beef vindaloo and also the chicken tikka, all our meals were very tasty and will be returning with my family for a sit down meal.
This fish and chip shop has never failed me, always consistenly great fish and chips. The fish is always cooked just the way I prefer it, never oily and aways tastes fresh. As for the chips, always crisp. Prices are very reasonable, staff very friendly and efficient.
Really gets busy during the holiday seasons, I have seen people queueing on the street.
Approximate cost: $10
The Meadows Hotel has been a bit of a let down recently, I have found that the prices have increased, yet the meals seem to be shrinking. My family recently tried the thursday schnitzel deal at $10 with gravy being extra, the meal was about average, actually disappointing. I should have stuck with the fishermen's basket as that has always been fresh and tasty. I will say that the staff are always friendly and our meals are served promptly.
I might take a break from the Meadows Hotel for a while and hope it improves.
This Indian restaurant doesn't look fabulous from the outside but once you walk in you are pleasantly surprised. Not a very large dining area but certainly adequate.
I have had lunch here numerous times with work collegues and also picked up take away for the family on many occasions. Their dishes certainly are authentic, just the right amount of spice. They have spiced up my Vindaloo on many occasions. I agree with the previous review, the lamb shanks are fabulous.
Staff are always attentive and friendly, always an enjoyable experience and that is why I keep going back.
