I've only ever tired the teriyaki chicken dish from this place but I would say it is the most driest chicken I have ever tasted. Back a few years ago I remember it was one of my most favorite restaurant but since going there last week I don't think we would be going there ever again. It kinda unbelievable for teriyaki chicken to still taste so dry and brittle. I wasn't impressed at all. I did however finish the side salad which I thought was quiet nice. But for me to throw away the main dish was very disappointing to me. I don't think I would be going there again

The cakes in this shop are very average. There are so many more cake shops in the city for this one to even come close to the 10 top. Don't get me wrong, the taste is decent and it doesn't have any bugs or hair in the cake the last time I checked. However I would still recommended Helen cake shop as one of my favorites.

This is definitely one of the better BBQ places in Sydney. As soon as you walk in they always greet you straight away and ask you what you're after. The duck is always fresh there and the cow stomach and chicken feet is always a favorite of my family and I. Their also a lot more cleaner than some of the other places I have visited. Not as oil on the floors and benches. Would definitely be going there again!
When you're next in the neighborhood, give it a go!!! :)

This is a small but very busy little shop located only 5 mins away from Burwood station. Their mainly catered to Asian clientele who reads the Chinese newspaper e.g Sing Tao. If you walk in on a weekend its so busy that you don't get personalized or one on one service at all. I use to go there once every 1-2 years to potentially renew my plan or to purchase a phone outright.
The specails they have in the newspaper add will not be automatically be offered to you, its only if you ask. So most of the client that walk in and are asking them about their contracts or offers will not be offered the specails. This is a bit unfair and I had a few dealings with them in the past and I have always been paying the higher price. This is an extremely unfair way to do business so its a place I will NEVER visit again. WARNING : Be care when doing business with them

This is probably the best place for Veitnamese food in Hurstville. It still doesn't come close to the ones in Bankstown or Cabramatta but if you're in the area craving for Veit food. Here's the place!!!!! They have minimal service but most of the Veitnamese restaurant are the same. The only other place that offers veit food is the pub in front and the last time I was there the soup was way too salty. After I finished my food I had to drink at least 1-2 litres of water. Must be a combination of MSG and salt.

This place is pretty tasty overall. I especially love this deep fried bread dough thing wrapped in a pancake. I try not to eat it too often since it is very oil. Last time I brought one to eat on the train on the way to work, once I pop on the train my whole paper bag was soaked in oil. It did turn me off the food a bit but after reheating it at work I couldn't resisted. Good for when you feeling like treating yourself. Not too often now guys!!!!
Also the staff there speak minimum English so you have to speak slowly or just point and tell them the number of the food you wish to order.

This place is trying to imitate mascot pork roll place. Because they offer the same variety they also up their prices as well. It may look the same and sometimes, have the same kind of service which is quick in quick out, but the taste is far off. Mascot pork roll place has been known for their fresh bread and how it crumbles when you eat it. Bankstown pork roll place is known for their good pate. This place is just a knock of and frankly I would buy it elsewhere and save myself the change. Nothing amazing.

There's quite alot of Asian groceries in Hurstville however I happened to walk into this one. I was looking for tempura sauce. I had to get passed around to 3 staff members before they understood what I was say. They all speak minimal to no English. When I finally found the tempura sauce I was at the counter ready to make my purchase. My partner has always been the cautious one, told me to look at the expiry date. It said 072011. We were clearly in 2013. I advised the staff member closes to us and he said that he didn't know what to do but to tell the manager. He then went back to where we got the tempura sauce and looked at all the other bottle. They were ALL expired and no one realized for over 2 years. They did apologise which we then smiled and left. If you're ever in this shop do ensure that you check the expiry date before purchase.

The food here is great, love the variety with both the cooked and non cooked selection. Its usually very crowded and noisy during dinner time. I don't remember a time that I have been there and not been bumped left right and center. Its very bright unlike other Korean restaurant where they dim the lights. This is definitely a place you wanna visit with your mates, chat as loud as you want because most likely you have be seated next to a family with small children. Definitely no place for a date. My only other complaint would be I called up 2 days ahead to make arrangement for me a 3 other friends. When we turned up they said that they didn't have the booking down and we were turn away. Since then we have never gone back. Beside that we did have fond memories of the food there. One of the more decent ones in Sydney is able to secure a seating arrangement.

My family and I love the cakes that Jenkins make. I usually go for their fruit cake, taro cake or Duran cake. Their very reasonable in price, not too expensive at all. Every time a birthday comes along first place we think of is definitely Jenkins. As soon as you walk into the store someone would greet you immediately and see if they can be of any assistance. The owner actually makes and serves the clients that walk in so they know how to keep the customer happy and business walking in the door.
