The Candle man has been around for ages and is a bit of an institution in hahndorf. The store stocks a range of handmade candles with scents ranging from woody, fruity, spicy to floral. The candles are very well priced and burn for a long time, eg 30 hours +

Udder Delights is a great place to taste a variety of tasty cheeses for free, you can pick up some cheeses for your picnic at a winery, or eat in their resturaunt. The service is friendly and the food and cheeses are delicious. They offer goats cheeses too.l

The winery is producing some amazing wines of very high standard. The cellar door is friendly but there isn't much standing or sitting room. There is a big red couch to sit on if you're lucky, but its the only seat in the house. the winemaker was at the cellar door when we dropped by and is happy to chat with you and answer your questions.

Nepenthe is good value for money, the cellardoor experience is warm and friendly with staff being well informed about the wine and wine in general. Tastings at the cellar door are free and its worth springing for a glass of your favourite and a cheese platter. Its a great place to relax on a sunday arvo.

Staff are very friendly and helpful in this gorgeous store specialising in Japanese style gifts. The giftwrapping is free and looks fantastic. The store has teas, kimonos, insence, tea sets, jewelry, bags, baby clothes, and my fave Kokeshi dolls.

The service is really friendly, the atmosphere is really relaxing. My fave hairdresser Phill is amazing he's got 28 years experience as a hairdresser, so if you book him you're getting a senior stylist. The prices are really good for a professional stylist. It cost me $50 to get my hair completely restyled and only costs about $33 a visit, its mid length with lots of layers, so its needs some finesse. They only recommend products if you ask and everything i've bought has worked in my hair (unlike other salons!). When I was getting my hair coloured i think it cost about $140 and that was for one all over colour and two lots of foils in different colours. This guy can do funky, sassy cuts, but can also do neat tidy cuts - my hubby has a rockstar haircut, my brother spikes and my mum, something respectable but not old ladyish. Phill manages to make everyone happy.

While this tries to be an overpriced clique cafe it only manages to be the nearest place for lawyers to get coffee or lunch, with most court staff choosing to walk to the central markets instead. The service is beyond slow, a takeaway cappacino can take up to 8 minutes and thats on a slow day! Ordering a toasted ham, tomato and cheese sandwich takeaway took 15 mins.

The service is friendly and welcoming. The food is cafe not resturaunt quality and isn't great if you're not a steak lover as it still dominates the menu. But you do get what you order, and the food is cooked properly and is tasty. They dont cater well to allergies, they have some gluten free sauces, but none that are gluten and dairy free.

Approximate cost: $25.00

The orders are constantly stuffed up at the customers expense. The food is awful, we've ordered steaks that are raw on one end and overcooked at the other, sadly my partner started at the cooked end and pointed out the raw end when he got to it - their reply 'well you did eat half of it though', so no discount. service staff are semi friendly but get orders wrong.

You really do get the speed you are paying for with this company. Their service is friendly and helpful and they offer great support to their customers. They dont' throttle peer to peer traffic and are extremely well priced.
