I had to order my folding electric bike by phone, since I live several hours away from Dillenger's. The promptness of its arrival was great. Having paid the wholesale price it was understandable (though a little disconcerting) not to have received assembly instructions, but it wasn't too hard to figure out. Sam was more than happy to iron out my small teething troubles, though, and the bike is exactly what I wanted. My sister (in Sydney) also bought one, and had to get a replacement on the light because it arrived with a broken part. Again, the after-sales service was prompt and friendly.

Buying long-distance can be a bit risky, but I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Dillenger's.

I ordered a cubic metre of what was described on their website as "Garden Bed Mix - A screened soil that has Manure and other additives. A high quality material ideal for pots, garden beds, lawns or any application around the garden." There was no problem with either ordering or the promptness of delivery. However, there were two problems with the product itself. Firstly, the amount delivered was significantly more (30%) than I'd ordered, I was not advised of this prior to it being tipped from the truck, and I had to pay for it. Secondly, and more significantly, the quality was way below what the description indicated. When I watered it, the water simply puddled on the surface and didn't drain at all, and when I forked the water into the dirt (it didn't merit the word "soil"!) it just turned to mud. Dreadful.

However, I subsequently complained, both about the quantity and the quality, and received a generous reduction on the price. The representative I spoke to thought it may have just been a poorly-mixed batch, but I would recommend caution for future customers.

I came across Miss Lily's Lollies during a trip to Morpeth, and was delighted to discover that they have a good range of sugar-free lollies. My favourites would have to be the sugar-free gummy bears, and Miss Lily's Lollies happily does a mail order of them when I run out.

They always give prompt, courteous service.

Bridges acted as share broker as I (along with two others in two other towns) acted as executors for my mother's estate. Tina made it as easy as possible for us to coordinate all the paperwork requirements, and the shares sold quickly and at a better price than my shares tracker displayed. And the fees seemed quite reasonable.

Extremely happy with their value and service.

They consistently have a greater range of products, at better prices, than other chemists in town. For one of my regular non-PBS scripts, I pay $22 at GPPW compared with over $30 at other pharmacies. I've also done price comparisons on Blackmore's vitamin supplements and found GPPW cheaper than other large discount pharmacies.

They're also willing to order in products they don't have in stock.

I needed some rather unusual tyres put on my car that very day, and they not only had them in stock but had no issues with fitting in an urgent job despite being already heavily booked. Cheerful service allied to a well-set-up waiting area made it a pleasant experience despite the turmoil surrounding my own circumstances at the time.

Michelle used to cut my hair, but now she's left I've had Steph do it. It's not easy hair to cut well - can go every which way if it's not just right - but Steph did an excellent job.

I've had several loads of firewood delivered. Josh brings good wood, that burns well, he charges less than the average AND he willingly stacks it for me.

A whole range of plumbing jobs, including at least one emergency call-out when I had a tap that wouldn't turn off (I had to turn the water off at the mains) 12 hours before a colonoscopy (anyone who's had one knows what that means in terms of toilet needs LOL). Tony left his dinner to come and fix that one. Whether routine or emergency, though, Tony always gives cheery service with a friendly chat.

Precision is an authorised Mitsubishi and Hyundai sales and service centre. I speak particularly of the service centre here. Greg Parker is the guy in charge, and he's always willing to go out of his way to obtain parts, do the required work promptly and well, and make it as hassle-free as possible. He's always friendly, and is an all-round fantastic mechanic to have on side.
