Can't get enough of those dinner rolls and so cheap! Be quick to get an apricot danish - they go fast. Always friendly service and the bread is fresh, often hot and cheaper than chips.

This review is for Blue Mountains Ugg Boots, Faulconbridge NSW

We took some international visitors here and they were able to take home some authentic Aussie keepsakes. There's Ugg boots galore and they will also make something special for you if you have it in mind. An interesting place to stop on your way to or from sightseeing with visitors.

Wonderful shop with plenty of friendly staff that you can talk to comfortably. The pharmasists are on the ball and explain medication and effects so that you can easily understand. Gifts galore and even an ice cream bar!

This review is for S & K Auto Electrical Services, Blaxland NSW

A couple of times we have to call S & K to rescue us either with a dead battery or something more sinister. They have a mobile van that comes to save you wherever you are within reason. Always prompt, friendly and great value for money.

This review is for Plucked, Blaxland NSW

We had some really good chicken burgers from Plucked but they took FOREVER to get them done. The chips are crisp and very very tasty especially if you buy the garlic dip to accompany them. Yum. If you have time to spare, try them - just not if you're in a hurry.

This review is for Springwood Aquatic & Fitness Centre, Springwood NSW

I use this centre all the time for mostly swimming but the steam room, spa and sauna are all fantastic and it's not usually too busy. Sometimes getting a lane can be difficult but I've found that at lunch time, the pool can be totally deserted. The kids fun pool is really large and equipped with a massive slide and large shallow pool for tiny ones. A medium depth pool is used a lot by rehab people and for swim classes. All heated and probably a little over chlorinated - but rather that than germs! There is a well equipped gym and plenty of lesson and session times for anything you could want. We're very lucky to have such a wonderful establishment in the lower blue mountains.

This review is for Professors Charcoal Chicken, Blaxland NSW

The best charcoal chicken in the Blue Mountains (probably the west). Always friendly service from Sam and his staff. Fish and burgers are just as good as his chickens too. He provides a catering service as well, though I've never used that. Fresh salads and hot vegies are better than any other take away I've had.

This review is for Mash Cafe, Glenbrook NSW

verified email - 18 May 2010

The trick to Mash is to go for lunch rather than dinner. Every lunch experience here has been awesome, even coffee and cake has been great but for some reason at night the price goes up and the quality comes down? Go figure. It's a fair trade coffee house and the cakes and desserts are exceptional. Brekkie is good too and they cater well for the vegetarians amoung you.

This review is for Sage Restaurant, Glenbrook NSW

Service was a bit slow on our last visit and the waitress seemed to be more interested in a party of people that either she knew or were regulars. Food was interesting, hearty, hot and quick to the table. Citrus tart was great! Everyone was pleased with their meals.

This review is for Sun Valley Produce, Sun Valley NSW

verified email - 18 May 2010

We bought our laying hens from Sun Valley Produce. Excellent quality birds, vaccinated and laying straight away - even in the box on their way home. Everything you could want feed wise and a handy little swap / for sale board for the unusual or unwanted. Great help and knowledge here.
