I had an issue with my fridge the freezer was working but the fridge was not really keeping it's temp, it was getting some cold but some parts were getting too hot and spoiling food.

I called always prompt repairs and they came out to check the fridge on a Friday, after investigating I was told it's the door flap that allows cold air from the freezer into the fridge. After agreeing I was told I would receive a quote. Later that night I noticed the fridge was completly broken now the top had zero cold and I had to throw out everything in the fridge.

This call out was on a Friday, I had not received the quote by the following Monday so I called them, and was informed it was not possible to give me a quote for some reason they had to wait 48 business hours before I could be sent a quote.

I finally received the quote on the Wednesday after making multiple calls, I made the deposit payment promptly hoping to get my fridge fixed asap. They decided to wait until the following day to place the order for the part. It was like it was no big deal I had no fridge for over a week at this stage, they dragged their feet at every step not really living up to the name. It took 5 business days before the part finally arrived.

I got a call on the Thursday this is the following week, I was told I could have a technician at my house in 30mins otherwise it would not be be possible until the following Tuesday. I was at work and would have prefered to be there in person to make sure it was fixed but was also keen to have a working fridge before the weekend, at this stage I had no fridge for 2 weeks.

After agreeing the technician turned up and my wife let him in, he spent 30mins mostly looking at his phone installed the part said it was tested and working. He told my wife to wait 2 weeks and let him know how it's going. (sure we can just have no fridge for a month it's no big deal with a pregnant wife and kid in the house)

When I got home I checked the temp on the front display and it had not reduced it was 25, I checked again before sleep and first thing the next day and there was zero change in temp. I took the shelf out of fridge to put my hand over where the cold air should be coming from and there was zero air.

I don't get how you can test it yet there is zero cold coming in, spending 30mins mostly on your phone to claim the full call out fee yet you can't put your hand over the cold area to check for cold air.

I called always prompt repair to explain that the fridge was completly broken now after their technicians had been out. I was told the only option was for me to pay another call out fee, so they can slowly give a quote and order another part, then pay an additional call out fee to see if that might fix the issue. And by then it still might not work, I don't understand how you cannot test the fridge to find the fault. What is with replacing random parts to see if it might fix it or not.

The fridge was semi working before the first technician came out after he left it was completly broken.

I'm $450 out of pocket now with a completly broken fridge, I've ended buying a new fridge. The main mistake I made was calling always prompt repairs in the first place.
