Rylock recently installed double glazed windows at my Dad's home in Gladstone Park. The windows were the original aluminium frame windows from when the house was built in 1972. Rylock workmen did all the work with a minimum of fuss, including removing the old windows without breaking them. My Dad is very happy with the work done and the quality of the workmanship.

I had evaporative air cooling installed. My installation was not standard as I had a flat roof, so metal ducting was required. It required ColdFlow to do a design to determine how much metal ducting was needed.
I had problems getting an install date. The ColdFlow salesman told me normally it takes 7 days to install a normal setup, but as mine was different, it would add an extra week because there would be a design phase. Three weeks after I paid the deposit, I still didn't have an install date. I rang ColdFlow and was put through to the Design team. They told me they need to get someone out the warehouse to see if they enough ducting (what? they don't have a computerised warehouse system?), and they'd call me back. 2 days later, still no call, so I call again. Once again, they wanted to call me back, but this time I stood my ground and waited on line while they checked. I got my install date – 11th December.
Come 11th December, and the installer calls out. Turns out the design wasn't right, and there wasn't enough metal ducting. They'd call out 16th December.
16th December, and it's a hot day, but the 2 installers worked on a stinking hot roof and installed the unit (and 3 vents inside) in about 5 hours. All good, and the cooling came in handy.
18th December, it rained. It leaked through the kitchen vent along the ceiling. Rang ColdFlow, and they like to get the original installer out to fix the work. I was told the installer would call me on Saturday. No call. I rang ColdFlow again, and again they said they rang the installer – this is the Christmas week – and told me the installer would call me. No call. Next day, I called ColdFlow again. This time, I do get a call, and the installer calls out on Christmas Eve and silicons some of the joins in the metal ducting.
There's 2 parts that make me angry – that the design was done incorrectly by head office, so it delayed my install. The other part is I had no follow-up from ColdFlow “Service Under Warranty and Complaints” department to see if the installer had contacted me (so I needed to call them), and no call since then to see if my leak has been fixed or any damage to my ceiling.

Approximate cost: $6400
