This is our 2nd time building and thought that we should build with a well known professional builder "Metricon", Professional,,,,,, far from it. Once you have signed that contract they pass you onto their staff thats sole purpose is to protect their own interest and Not the customer/buyer.

We are in our Metricon home for maybe 8 months now, we had our first inspection where we gave metricon about five to eight issues that we logged on their website. you can only log any issues once, so ongoing problem are our problem thereafter. In the 8 months we have seen one of these issues fixed. So how metricon works is they assign one person to handle your concerns and no one else. This is what I am told whenever I call to get someone to help me. So if that person is off ill , or on leave or out of the office .my issues never get looked at. We called metricon on several occassions during the 8 months and we are told that no one else but that person can help us. Some of the issues:
1. If there is a breeze blowing at the front door or from the door leading into the house from the garage, the door will open. We have woken up some mornings with the front door open ...... WOW.
2. While watching tv , If someone in the house switches a light on or off the tv will switch off for 5 seconds due to the way they connected the aerial. Thats what metricon said.
3. My window handle mechanisms throughout the house cannot fully open or close the window because of the poor quality. So my windows do not fully shut,so the house is not 5 star rating anymore.
4. My front door has a howling noise from the wind because it is not closing flush to the door frame. cold air comes in.
5. I was told that the heater box in the ceiling for the central heating is not up to code, wiring is lying loose etc.
Like I say, we are running after them. No after sales service to confirm what has been done, or what has not been done.Our counless emails to this person at metricon is being read, just not bothered to action it. So no one at metricon will listen, who can I take this up with? This is a new house, does not feel like it.
